i lived in shanghai for 3 years! my favorate city ever! sooo romantic, beautiful, world A plus intrastruction, mordern and tradition.... i can only say that shanghai is such a FABULOUS city. so much fun!!

Shanghai China best destination of all after travel around the world twice. China the best destination that have everything from super Hi tech to the most ancient thing. Hotel, food and travel are cheap and the people are friendly. The country is safe to move around, I never heard of robber or snatch thieve in Shanghai. No tourist got bully by local tugs like many other country I have experience. I love Shanghai, I plan to go again and stay for a few month.

I just came back from China,I was impressed by all the glitz but reality is different.They blocked FACEBOOK AND YOUTUBE!!!i lost 4 lbs from being unable to eat the food, trust me that didnt taste anything like Chinese food!!!The people was very friendly,so many asked to take pix with me!!I finally had a sumptuous Peking duck dinner tongiht! I had no idea what was in the food or water.I had severe allergies!!Having said that,I did enjoy the great wall and the Yangtze.

I've lived in Shanghai for 6 years, now I am back in New York... I feel life in the U.S. is just too boring compared with Shanghai. I miss Shanghai very much, hopefully I can go back to see this expo next month, and travel to other parts of China!! Can't wait!!

Although being American of course I vouch for our democracy, people need to realize that just because a country doesn't have a democracy does not mean that their people aren't happy or that their economy can't be successful. China is good example of that even though government is viewed as terribly flawed by most Americans. Our government is flawed too.

I can vouch for Shanghai. It surely doesn't disappoint, and keeps improving. (For example, 7 or so new subway lines built in 4 years.) What I really like is the mix of classical Chinese and classical European ambiance, in addition to postmodernity. It is truly diverse, yet not so much as to feel disjointed. Its neighborhoods remain largely intact and coherent. I went to the expo for one day, and the Chinese pavilion was great, but just exploring the city itself is even more interesting.

I'm finally back in the United States after my trip there to Shanghai, China! I really only got to see the expo for a few hours one night (because during the day there were so many people, and it was so hot there!), but it was wonderful to see the China Pavilion, such an architectural masterpiece! The rest of my vacation was spent sightseeing the rest of Shanghai like Pudong, the Bund, Changning, the Maglev train, etc. All i have to say is WOW! Truly world-class! It's even better than NYC!!!!!
