Ls1's are under rated up the ass the new GT is not. This chevy and ford battle will always go on learn to accept that certain cars are just faster than others like GT it aint shit. i am a chevy guy but dam a 03-04 cobra beats my 98SS from a roll every time.
I dont know what you are talking about but the 03-04 cobras are badass! And i guarentee you will get your ass handed to you if you race and ls1 with a manual6 the new aint shit

03 04 cobras or junk they have recalled heads and to many problems like piston breakdown. yeah thats what a 05 gt sounds like with a slp axle back when the mufflers are dropped. and trust me they are fast enough cuz ive beatin my share of ls1's.

the gt has a suspension and a axel back that all it does is drop the mufflers which does nothing, ill pop that hood trunk u name it 4 anybody there is now aftermarket anything 4 horsepower done to that car.

that z28 had no heads or cam swap buddy you lost versus a stock ls1 with just exhaust and plus no stock gt sounds like that either cause they are quiet stock. if he had full bolt ons with a complete head swap you get left behind a shit load
