ever plugged the Hd300 into a smaller amp...like a rolland cube 15XL ? or something similar ... I'm just very curious how metal music sounds through the pod and a small amp like mine...I'm planning on buying the hd300 soon. Thanks
@ValHazzard I am using a multi-effects (boss ME-70) into my roland cube 20X (so our amps are very similar). i turn down the EQ all the way to 0 if i want the exact tone from the ME-70. you should be able to do the same thing with the HD300
@ValHazzard no problem. BTW you should really just save up for the HD500 if you wanna play metal, cause with the HD300, your not able to use multiple distortions, which alot of metal bands do with stomboxes and such. your able to use multiple distortions on the 500, which is why im getting that, and not the 300.
@ryandevison yeah, I know but that's just out of my budget and I'm not a patient person...can't wait that long till I can save up...I'm not bothered tho, i'm still learning, practicing...I think the HD300 is enough for the time being. Maybe in the future I will invest in better gear, when I'll actually deserve it.
I've had this for a little over a year now. Great modern gain, effects, mic option, and looping capabilities, and easy to use. I gig with it and often plug directly into PA. No need to lug around large amps all the time. Just amp and pedal board. Aloha
Hello! i was wondering if is it possible to connect a bluetooth transmiter in the headphone jack of the HD300 and receive the sound on my BT headphones without having any latency or problems... i know this work for use with a PC, youtube audio, windows media, mp3's and so but i don't know if this could work with the HD300 (it doesn't work with software like guitar rig and ik multimedia amplitube due to the latency and the use of asio drivers).
THANK YOU so much for posting a video with this equipment and not playing blues. im so sick of trying to listen to gear i may buy and all the person can play is the 12 bar blues on every setting. its so friggin annoying
Epiphone Prophecy SG Custom EX to Line 6 POD HD300 (gate, screamer, mesa) to Marshall AVT150 (poweramp means I use effect loop return) to Randall RX412.
@acompres I don't think this Marshall can handle Deathcore at all. It the begging I tried to play only on it's OD2 channel, but I found that simulation of mesa from POD HD is way better. If you think about valvestate solution you can try to get Randall RH150 G3 Plus - similar price but better drive channel. Or maybe some of tube B-52 amps? I heard they have good "all-tube" sound for the price (similar to Mesa).
@heminder Definitively! You can't use speaker simulation when you are using real guitar cab loaded with real speakers which have some tonal characteristic. Only when using POD HD plugged directly into PA you can use simulations of speakers and mics.
@matisku thank you very very much... my sound now is way way better.... So if i want now to rec in my pc through a cable and no through usb , what setting i have to do man ?
@matisku one more question man... have you updated the new firmware ? if not which firmware do you use now ? cause i did the mistake and updated and now only problems...

@DwightKrtSchrute Check your outout settings in your HD300 - you should have studio mode to enable emulation of cab + mic

How did you run the POD to the amp head? Im trying to do it with my Line 6 Amp but I hear you need 4 cables or so

how did the head sounded on it's own? i'm thinking to buy the thing to play in a deathcore band, can it hold up?

@matisku oh cool. i thought only the HD500 could do that.
good tone by the way! =D
heminder 11 months ago
@matisku hey man its a really really great sound. My problem is that i cannot find where i can set the cabs sim off... can you help me ?
aris17561 11 months ago
@aris17561 in HD300 you should just use switch which is in the back of the unit "Output Mode" and set it to LIVE.
matisku 11 months ago
@matisku thank you very very much... my sound now is way way better.... So if i want now to rec in my pc through a cable and no through usb , what setting i have to do man ?

@aris17561 Studio switch in Output Mode and use headphones output jack into a sound card on your computer I think.

@aris17561 Yes i did update. I tweak a little bit presets from v1.1 and I think v1.2 sounds better.
