  • I like the way you switched the beat up a bit to get past the scanners. Brilliant.; This is a classic hip hop track. Check my channel for funk soul and hip hop.

  • damn right, these songs don't age ! fat double bass , amazing flow,

the album is a classic, not much known in europe, had to order it at the time when it got out. large professor has produced a lot of it !!!!!

  • fly cars, got diamonds in jelly jars, to earn respect, collecting bar-fight scars.

  • Like Will Smith said, nowadays rap is shit, he was also rapper and switched to film industry when rap changes

  • @xdarkmanXx yeah but he was a shitty candy rapper. he was right though, but fuck will smith.

  • @BillKiernan yeah but thats the real style, the shit before ganster rap was better

  • @xdarkmanXx i like so much music from the same time period, much of it not "gangster" at all. he was just an overrated rapper that rapped some PG rated shit with cheesy lyrics and goofy videos. he's eclipsed by biz markie, dougie fresh, slick rick, etc. he is nothing compared to them, not worth mentioning. decent actor, lame rapper. he also tried to come out all "gangsta" when it became popular and it was pathetic.

  • @BillKiernan yeah thats what i mean im not talkin anymore about will smith

All about the flow and style what funky rap made so awesome

  • @xdarkmanXx yeah agree 100%

  • Man , I used to play the hell out of this joint !! 4got how tight this dude could spit ! Whereas , he still hasn't received the commercial ( cross over ) success of the later rappers...he inspired ALL of them. Tight ass beats , too ! G Rap should always get props in any reputable Rap circles and I'm sure one day....he'll get his ( in terms of commercial success ) . BIG UPS to the Baddest MF rapper of his time ! Peace

  • Still a hard track to this day!! i used to bump this on my way to school!

  • i'm bad to the bone, with a style like al capone ...

  • Im glad I grew up in the 90's.

" I neva needed a helpin' handin', an outstandin' type a guy girls neva abandin'. And im known for force, three across ya belly, knockin niggas out da box like im playin' scully." Ayo G Rap keep spittin my nig.

  • The remix is also hard, gonna go through my twelves and find it out, classic

  • Beat goes hard SOn... G rap, thats all need be said

  • I love that I was able to pump this when it came out.

  • What I don't understand is why aren't people growing up dreaming, "Damn, I want to rap like this dude."

I guess it is because they don't seem to know who he is. Now look at the state of 'hip-hop'. Shame.

  • Kool G Rap is strictly in the catagory of impeccable MCs with: Krs One, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, Big Pun, Pharoahe Monch, A.Z, Nas, Jeru Tha Damaja, Treach, Biggie....Grown man shit!

  • uhh youtube

    sorry...

wheres the legend button i dont see it?

  • What has hip hop music come to. How the fuck did we come from this priceless masterpiece art of rap by Kool G Rap to the bullshit soulja boy mainstream and flo-rida bullshit? I am disgusted with hip hop now. I am backtracking and retreiving all the real hip hop music. I am embarrassed to live in 2011. I prefer to use time machine and go back to 1990.

  • @PoKeRFoRNiA my 35yr old ass totally understands & agrees... however, celph-titled, apathy, immortal technique, diabolic, snowgoons, LCOB, reef, vakill, r.a., euphrates, jmt & vinnie p, i could go on & on.... they won't top the 84-96 era, but the modern underground is really phat these days. check out the ytube channel of "THE YACZ", in case you haven't already. oh shit, atmosphere(slug), slaine, rugged intellect, etc... P.E.ace from montreal.

  • @jdbankshot No doubt that people you listed are talented. Problem is, they're underground. Back in the days, talented underground rappers would come to mainstream. But now, any untalented dumbfuck enter the mainstream. Immortal had offers from corporates for him to become mainstream but he refused because he didn't like the fact that he had to censor majority of his rapping style and meet corporate's criteria. This is what's holding talented underground rappers back.

  • @jdbankshot I believe that after Tupac, Biggie, Yaki Kadafi, Big L, corporates realized that hip hop got out of control and hip hop started becoming corny, censoring many songs, and it's all about clubbin, money, sex, nowadays. Expression within the music is irrelevant and not necessary anymore in today's generation. It's very disgusting.

  • @PoKeRFoRNiA it is very relevant (expression) to those that actually care. the reason that they're 'underground' is because the puppetmaster, empty-v bosses control the opportunity to mold & shape young minds. immortal should've refused, good for him & us! i don't think you get it... 20 years ago, public enemy went platinum in one week, & they didn't have to censor themselves. what is underground today used to be 'mainstream' 20-25 years ago. they didn't come to the mainstream, other way around.

  • @PoKeRFoRNiA pac & big are the most overrated 'rappers' ever. as a matter of fact, they were both the perfect example of poseurs, phonies, fakes. they had talent, but mis-used it in exchange for fame & fortune, all about the image just to sell records. real hip hop never got corny, the industry just decided to promote the blingjiggy shit to the masses. i understand what you're sayin' , but trust me, expression & passion are still very necessary to the real headz that have been forced underground

  • @PoKeRFoRNiA yeah was tracking as wel just in 2012 find loads of shit but also good shit from da last years of hip hop peace......

  • rap legend, lyrically untouchable, the g stands for genius and that's the truth! Word!

  • after many listens to g rap, i conclude this as one of his best tracks

  • They don't make good shit like this anymore.......Real talk !

  • Amazing Kool G Rap is a human sax. lyrical-genius-all-the-time-profection. Quick thinking gangsta

  • People always have stupid conversations about which movie is the best of all time, which track, car etc, questions that don't really have an answer, but if they ask me which is the definitive rap record the first thing that always comes to mind is: "hmmm, maybe Kool G rap, Bad to the bone" .

  • This is one of the BEST LYRICAL PERFOMANCES OF ALL TIME!!!

  • This is fucking amazing, life affirming, go up and go live your life to the full music. It just leaves me with a smile on my face and makes me want to be the best poet in the world. Later, ya barstards.

  • Whoever disliked this deserves to have their hands chopped off. They aren't worthy of the privilege of using a mouse or keyboard if they're going to use them to give legendary, classic, timeless hip-hop like this low ratings and disrespectful downtalk. >:-(

Kool G Rap = the master of 'gangsta' rap; incredible storytelling ability; lyrical superiority; phenomenal attention to detail; excellent metaphors; just about ZERO wack verses... even his OLDEST rhymes are CENTURIES ahead of any new shit.

  • this might be my favorite grap song of all time, but then again he has so many classics

  • Road to the Riches, Ill Street Blues, Streets of New York, On the Run, It's A shame..and the list goes on and on! Underground hip-hop should have they own grammy award show then this nigga would be on Quincy Jones status by now. MAD respect G Money and peace to that brotha Eric B on the help out!

  • im a big spender, sorta like bruce jenner

i burn all beginners and let'em simmer like a TV dinner

    .............whoa.

  • legendary

  • satan at his most EVIL could not drop lyrics as wicked as these

  • That is the PERFECT analogy for the way Kool G Rap KILLED IT!!!

  • @JUNGLEJUSTICE9mm That is the PERFECT analogy for the way Kool G Rap KILLED IT!!!

  • yeah fo real, 20 years on and still three of the best verses ever written....dope as...

  • I'm bad to the bone with a style like

    Al Capone!

  • This dude couldn't have came any harder [pause] on this cut ...i get the chills today the same way i did when it came out..

  • pockets so fat, i flat em down with a dough roller

  • i need this picture,i wanna blow it up and hang it on my wall

  • Fuck that, I want the picture of 2pac n G Rap driving thru LA in 1992 during the riots - in an interview G Rap spoke about how they were driving thru the city letting off rounds into cars >>> i always knew those 2 legends must've chilled out together. But that picture is still M.I.A.

  • yo thats crazy i would to have that too

  • sick track

  • "cause ill pull out the 45 if you offend me

and leave the barrel of it smokin like a chimney"

    my fav line ever maybe

  • One of my favorite opening lines ever: "I'm bad to the bone / with a style like Al Capone."

  • "One of my honey's is mixed spanish and latin"...thats like sayin "I got a bitch thats white and caucasion".

  • My fav Grap verse...ever...real talk...and ive been listen to this brother since "Rikers island'...Hip Hop...

  • I believe Eric B produced this track..

  • Eric B. is credited with producing this track, but the actual production work was done by Large Professor.

  • which would nt be suprising...Extra P was one of my favorites hip hop artists/producers...

  • Still classic production..Its sounds like a Rahkim type track...Dope...

  • Rhymes are dynamic, voice is titanic

Gigantic, suckers get frantic and then panic

A smooth talker, cause I'm a Queens New Yorker

My rhymes bring more Good Times than Jimmie Walker

A bumrusher, cause I'm a crusher of hardrocks

When I turn thirty, I'll still be dirty as Redd Foxx

Try to cope, what I wrote, get a sore throat

My lyrical notes float like sailboats

I keep it steady for the petty sucker rappers I'll be ready

I got more bodies than Frank Netti

  • one of the best hands down......

  • this is one of the best rap songs ever made. and by a long shot too. unbelievable raps. the G really does stand for Genius.

  • this is definitely a masterpiece, delivery, wit...the dude was awesome. I like it when rap sounds like someone with a brain wrote the lyrics not some mushmouth idiot that dropped out in the 4th grade.

  • young MC has some super educated rhymes too, man. same with Kool Keiths ultramagnetic days, SUPER clever wordplay from him back then.

  • V true. This beat & the lyrics are still sounding as fresh to me now as when they orig came out. I mean this shit just walks over every other pop piece of shit that's been coming out since about '97...

  • Bad to the Bone, lol.

Kool G Rap & Polo made three banging classic albums. Every single one of them is better than the other but in the end I think Live and Let Die slightly edges the other two out.

  • pockets so fat i flat em down with a dough roller

  • the DON GIANCANA. the king of cadences.

  • Peace...this brother ...is..was..still ahead of his time...this is one of my fav from grap....the beat..the delivery....wordplay....dope....

  • lyrically the best of greastest was the early 1990's it all ended with nas after that it went commerical and thugged out lyrics was the thing anymore see right here this is skill at it finest g rap was like the r kelly of hip hop he chilled for awhile but when he came back he killed it

  • word, i thought i was the only one.lol

  • G Raps lyrics are unmatched, esp by any of these noobs out there today.

  • Rakim was another dude ahead of him time fur sure, "follow the leader", no one heard shii like that

  • cosign. RAKIM is THE GOD EMCEE; KOOL G. RAP the DON GIANCANA is the closet, to RA.

  • This is a lyrical roller coaster at its best, HARD TO COPY

  • If kids want to get in the game, they need to listen to the classic days of hip hop and absorb the hunger of fresh mc's waiting to get on the mic for the love of it. If you love what you do the money will come and follow you not the other way around. Respect to kool g. rap and polo

  • this is my theme song fags

  • This is my fav Kool G Rap album. I love em all but something about this one i gravitate to more.

  • Kool G Rap is Michael Jackson in hip-hop world. Bad to the bone.

    R.I.P Michael Jackson

  • Biggie Smalls can never come close to this on the mic.

  • biggie was great but kool g is like the foundation. biggie is just one of the tenants in kool g's building.

  • g. raps rhyme structure will forever remain un-fuck-with-able. the man transcends hard hitting gangster rap... gangster rap is dumb... this shit is nothing short of genius. timeless.

  • He could be some rapper's father. He could spit when he is 60 and stil be better than a youngin'. He destroys every verse, really. I'm trying to compare him to others but it flips and i'm trying to compare him with others and i don't get any matches, he is one of the godfathers of rap so ask him to come to your wedding.

  • im so mad that he gets no respect

  • Same here. But I am more mad that ppl like soulja shit and lil gayne are getting respect and even grammy nominations.;

  • This may piss u off more: 2pac's "Dear Mama" & "Changes" were only nominated for Grammys, whilst Eminem's "My Name Is" and Lil Wayne's random voicebox bullshit actually WINS Grammys...?!?!?!?!

  • He does, but from true lyricists like Canibus, Big L, Pun, Chino XL, Wu, Boot Camp...etc

  • im talkin awards,on every hip hop tv show type of respect

  • He has bn given respect on certain shows, incl MTV n VH1, but i think u mean he isn't shown on the typical bullshit we see day in day out, esp compared 2 how much we unfort see of the usual suspects that we ALL know...

I personally prefer not 2 see G Rap n them on the tv, the whole allure of their persona is BECAUSE we don't see much of them > when we see fags like soldier whatever n em all over the tv ALL THE TIME, it gets over saturated.

  • run-dmc type of respect....everyone nose a run dmc song and evey should know a cool g rap song

  • Agreed, but the man gets props from every1 from Rakim to Jay Z to 2pac to Nas to Kane to Pun to Big L to Canibus to Chino XL to....

That's all that counts man, respect from ur peers. All the rest can suck it!

  • Roseland N.Y.C Kool -G- Rap & Polo 1990... The good old dayz!!!

  • damn i want that picture

  • Just think this song damn near 20 years old....name an MC who could do this now...this dude was and still is ridiculous

  • just sent this to soulja bitch...

  • haha ive actually IMed him and he would reply and stuff an i told him how much his music sucked and how oldskool beats the shit about his wack beats and lyrics that he doesnt even write

  • LOL. Soulja bitch really needs to understand the roots of hip hop. Lot of young idiots think making catchy beats and saying random lyrics will make you a rapper or hip hop model. What a disgrace. Lot of old school rappers and MCs have raw lyrics and essence of hip hop. Lot of those essence and true hip hop and rap are diminishing bcz of dumbasses like soulja boy. Only closest rap and essence of rap you can get nowadays from youngsters is Young Jeezy. :(

  • words timeless swagga...

  • Hip Hop Classic

  • holy shit did any of u hear the lyrics carefuly

that is some craazy rhymes right there

that crazy flow n lyrics create real hip hop

    props for uploadin!

  • hell yea he ripped this shit

  • One Of Kool G Rap's Best Ever Tunes!

  • did u get that kool g picture off the internet,i need to show my barber that hairstyle

  • after jive talk and right before men at work

  • my favorite g rap song

  • this song is bad to the bone kool g rap done it again!

  • who the hell can flow on this beat.

Get a sore throat! g proves hes the baddest

  • is this produced by large pro? because some tracks on that album are produced by him but i don't know which ones exactly

  • Yes Large Professor ghost produced all of the of the tracks on the "Wanted Dead Or Alive" album that were credited to Eric B.

  • the whole album is the best rap album EVER. KOOL G RAP IS THE BEST RAPPER EVER. PERIOD

  • THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS!!! This was up a couple months ago then it was deleted. song is sooo bad ass haha

  • what up to T.Feds

  • love the beat

  • ..thick chick slicking quick like greased lightining..dammit man!!!
