This shit goes back to WWI; and Russia, France, and England are just as guilty of self-served meddling as the US. The fact that back in the 1920's Iran had a moron for a "leader" didn't help matters.

There are entirely too many fucking soap operas in relations between cultures in real life and way too many self-centered fucking assholes who connive their way into politics ... a vocation of supossed compromise. It only seems fair, maybe I'll have to do one on it myself, don't get me wrong the US is not blameless in the world, but it takes two to tango as they say, and Iran has been a willining dance partner . In truth, if she hadn't hated the west so deeply, she'd probabl have been a nuclear power decades ago...well, at least we dogged that bullet.

@DavidCaines100 Two to Tango? Respect for & adherence to the US Constitution is not a dance routine. The USA & Iran have both signed the NNPT, which Israel REFUSES to sign. Under the US Constitution, treaties are the supreme law of the land. Iran has the RIGHT to enrich uranium under the NNPT. Thus, Sanctions on Iran VIOLATE the US Constitution. I do not recall Iran's overthrowing a Democratic Government in the US & installing a Tyrant like the Shah so they could steal OUR resources, do you?

What nation would be insane enough to SIGN the NNPT if they could not even enrich uranium? Do you ever check out news sources other than the Mass MEdia Lie Factory? Iran has never attacked another nation in more than 100 years, but Israel has. Israel has HUNDREDS of nukes. Have you ever interviewed the USS Liberty survivors? I have. The USS Liberty was deliberately attacked by ISRAEL.
