Replacing the keyboard ribbon cable isn't that difficult. I you look closely at the connector you'll see that the toppart is hinged. Gently replace the ribbon cable (dont use any force) and snap the hinged part down onto the cable. That should do the trick.

One thing though - you don't actually have to wrestle that plastic cover off completely for the RAM upgrade. I managed to do it by just releasing the front part & CAREFULLY flexing it to get enough access to the ram slot.
I don't get it, can't you please tell me some more? i see that you take it apart, but how does that upgrade the ram? please some one tell me how i do that because i would really like to make mine faster :)
I have problems with freeing up the keyboard cable from it slot. In which direction should i pull out the the cable from the connector, parallel to metal plate or straight up from the metal plate. Should I do anything before i can pull out the cable out of the connector.
same here, in australia aldi. wondering about the upgrade also. ive heard that the atom 455 allowed for ddr3 upgrade, then i heard that it has some sort of confliction there.... can u clear the air for me and tell me whether a ddr3 is compatible, or even recommend what would be the best module to buy
Great video practicle and easy to see. The E1222 sold in ALDIUK was sold out in a week. I got one :) and keen to UG the RAM. Can you confirm you can UG with Kingstin 2GB RAM or is there other RAM UGs that are s better? Assume it is a straight simple swop and then put the bits back together>? Danker scheon....
If I take something apart completely, I take out the mainboard and the display, you know, just everything. Of course, display is rather boring, but the other side of the mainboard might be interesting for some (e.g. hidden mini pci-e slots, hidden heatpipes,,).. ;)
