Honestly, I think that this has the best space based combat ever, bar none, nobody comes close, not even Eve Online in sheer realism of Nexus's combat. but the game itself has a very smart and epic space opera worthy storyline. Get it on Steam, its like what only $9.99. Hope that helps.
@MHassan1986 I bought it yesterday for £5.99 on steam and it's amazing. It's one of the most realistic space simulators out there! It really makes you use your brain in battles. I knew the storyline is gonna be good as soon as I saw that mechanoid, star-like spaceship for the first time.
glad you bought it...and even glad to hear that you are loving it..wait till you play the final mission..you'll be blown away..makes you wonder though that how come CCP never hired the developers of Nexus to work on Eve..don't you think?
@MHassan1986 It might interest you to learn that there is a mod that puts EVE ships into Nexus. Using Nexus' tactical command interface with EVE ships would be a great thing.

I wasn't critiquing your gameplay style, just the Angelwing configuration of this vid. I normally put two e-shells, two railguns, 1 plasma gun and 1 E-torpedo/bomb on the Angelwing myself.
@Mazryonh nope. there are wrecks for a reason. you move in to one of the wrecks. stay cloaked. get close enough. evade some ships a bit then launch a sickle gunboat squadron and rape the Ip blocker. no need for heavy laser...then its easy...
@Dreadnought942 Actually, I prefer using the Heavy Laser since Gunboats and Fighters can be intercepted a little too easily (especially since Titan station has 4 Phalanx Flak cannons). Sadly the game doesn't tell you that you can hide more effectively behind wrecks.
A space battles like that is awesome. Last time I heard EvE online is very complex but I don't battles like this game. I have Homeworld, it's different than this. Which one is better Homeworld 2 or 3 if I'm outdated, EVE, or Nexus that have that realistic battles where you can shoot the shield, engine, weapons, life support, etc?
@skypopear go for Nexus if you want more or less realistic space battles.
go for Homeworld 1 or 2, or both, if you want to blow lots of stuff up
go for EVE if you want to build stuff, harvest resources, 'invent' stuff, do lots of evil PVP stuff, have epic 2000 player battles, or just want to fly with friends (or alone) arround blowing stuff up.
@Helge129 Also, go for EVE if you like MMORPGs. Go for the others if you don't have that great of an internet connection or don't like playing with millions of assholes that do evil PVP stuff.
aaah, this game. I really liked this game, wished they could of made a sequal to it. having a good story, good plot, gameplay is challageing-to say the least-, the ships very closely balanced since all ships have the same tech and the graphics-for DX9 amazing and think what they could of done with DX11. overall a very beautiful game.
I started to play it again, in version 1.01, but using a trainer or version 1.0 and a old executable to give me resourses, save, then trade again the exes. So I put all the good stuff before start playing this level where you need to protect the cargo ships. But the enemies shield was too hard to beat as mine. Is that a bug of the game, some glitch cause by the trainer or executables swap?
It's really not that difficult. Just get as as close to the base as you can while cloaked to send your commando ferry there, and don't get closer than seven hundred units of distance to any Gorg vessel or sensor pod while cloaked. Don't decloak within line of sight to a sensor pod either. Don't bother hiding in the radiation, because it will damage your systems unless you reroute auxiliary power to the support systems.
yep i did tt too, felt more like 3D chess, turning the battle map over & over again to analyse. But i might add that when decloaking, staying far way (abt 30000 units which is the closest i went :X) away also will not get detected. Just think before you do, like a tactician =)
Yeah, I remember reading a review that said "this game is chess on the prettiest board you've ever seen, where the pieces are starships blasting seven shades of shields out of each other."
Makes you wonder why this game didn't succeed more . . .
They do not have master servers anymore. I am trying to start a network using Hamachi for Nexus. Download free Hamachi client and join a network named "Nexus Reborn". Pass it along, maybe we can revive this great game.
You can say that again. Shield flares are seldom well-done in sci-fi TV shows or movies. Odd that the latest Star Trek movie didn't have any visible shields at all--they could really use the flare style from this game!
I love the shields of Nexus. There, I said it agian. =P
Yes, I love the "hard" shield style. Unlike in Star Trek where someone shoots the ship, sheilds flare up, and then somehow the ship shakes on the inside and consoles and stuff explode... I like them to be virtually impenitrable, unless they are deactivated. Nexus has some of the best shield effects out there.
You should look into an old space combat RTS game, called Haegemonia (called Hegemonia in North America), which was released in 2002. The shield and particle effects are made of pure awesome--seeing bigger ships and stations tear themselves to pieces is better than Nexus can do ship destruction.
But yes, Nexus' Space Combat Real-Time Tactics is one-of-a-kind.
You mean Hegemonia: Legions of Iron? Where you start the game off as choosing either Earth or Mars and then lead them to victory over the other and then you spread out through wormholes and meet two alien races? Played it already. Good game, though it could have been better. I liked the shields in it too. =D
Yep, but there was a euro-only release of the expansion pack, named Haegemonia: The Solon Heritage. I was lucky to snag a copy of the English version off of Ebay once. You can find a vid of the intro to the Solon Heritage on my channel, as well as some other nice Nexus vids.
FYI, GOG [.] com sells Haegemonia combined with its expansion for 9.99 USD and DRM-free. No need to hunt eBay to find it, unless you're a collector.
Speaking of which, seems like Nexus: The Jupiter Project has become somewhat of a collector's item itself. Amazon has prices in the 30-40 dollar range, though you can still find it for less than that on sites like eBay. Weird.
It does look like a cool game though. I thought it was an exploration game like X or Elite, but it looks like Homeworld.
Actually, N:TJI is available for paid download on Steam for $10 (USD) or less. Check out my vids for a tech demo of the potential sequel too.
There's also quite a few mods in production looking to put ships from other space combat franchises into N:TJI's engine. You should look around youtube to find some demo vids for them too.
Oh that's cool. I hate Steam though, I really have to think twice about buying a game on that service. It's not that I'm DRM-paranoid or anything, it's just that I hate the fact you have to run the client to launch the game. I find that a major inconvenience & annoyance.
But should the temptation arise I might have to think about picking it up.
Not to be picky but when we're talking about the hypothetical / fictional physics of Star Trek - where much of those exploding consoles and ship shudders are done as much for dramatic purposes as for their realism - it's difficult to compare one "reality" with another. (I am reminded of the Star Wars v Star Trek debates.)
Keep in mind since we're not actually inside the ship in the game it's arguable that the inhabitants are being tossed around as much as their Star Fleet counterparts.
I know why they have all that going on inside. I was recently watching the Stargate series and the shields in it were just as soft as the other TV and movie based shields. It may be arguable, but we have the fact that no systems of the ships can be damaged unless you use shield piercing weapons on the side of not.
I find it difficult to call one Sci-Fi more realistic then the other when you add in the fact that intergalactic travel and laser shooting spacecrafts are not real. So we really have no way of knowing which is more real realistic and which isn't.
@Grykus1 Agreed. Trying to compare one reality versus another is subjective. It is difficult to quantify the energies we're talking about in a science fiction scenario and say one is better than the other.
Especially when comparing shield strengths based on the feedback we see in a show/movie.
As I said the shudders, sparks and jolts are there for dramatic effect more so than "reality." There would be little drama if the ships were fired upon and everyone stood around like it was lunchtime.
@Attila16 So hi. I want to ask something. I had played the game on normal difficulty some years back, and i thought to play it again on pro since there is nothing better coming but if you remember at the mission "The mechanoid" you are supposed to hold off the gorg fleet untill the mechanoid recharges and destroys it , the problem is that instead of them it attacks me when i am at the last 2 gorg ships. Thanks for your time.
you got old school ones like impirial galactica, and solar empire is also bring out and nex exspantion, and a new one to look at is EVE, and their are some other ones like eve that are in development now as well which should be out soon
I should add that this game had great potential because it offered entire solar systems in a full 3d map (including ours) and looked like it was laying the framework for a much larger project, something that could have rivaled EVE or freelancer player freedom. It would have been very cool had this game been done by a bigger better funded company that had a huge vision for it. Unfortunately this was kind of a dead end and all that potential went to waste.
I hear that originally the solar system map (it was missing sound effects for zooming in and out from the star system level to the galaxy level) was originally supposed to be a strategic view for when Nexus was still supposed to be Imperium Galactica III: Genesis, then it became a way to choose your next mission, but now it's just eye-candy.
Very nice eye candy, of course, but unfortunately the Earth turns the wrong way in the solar system viewer.
Is this anything like EVE? Cause I don't want to spend literal hours of my time mining or doing cookie cutter missions. Neither do I want to spend the equivalency of a months play time in cost buying all my stuff.
It's not. There is not pay-to-play multiplayer. There used to be a master multiplayer server, but it's down now. The only multiplayer is via a program called "Hamachi."
This game is probably one of the graphically brilliant and tactically-intensive space-combat games around, with some of best-written science fiction plotlines I've seen in a while. Check out my vids to see what the sequel might have looked like.
There's also great Stargate and Star Trek mods in the works for this game.
The game is mostly known for its single player campaign. It has nothing to do with mining or purchasing or RPG elements (save for upgrading your ship and the occasional promotion)
The game is just about tactics in battle. You can control where every gun fires, even control what parts of the enemy ships certain guns aim at. Control the englnes, the shields, the power systems, etc. Its not very complicated tho. The game does not let you buy anything, only configure your ship(s) and then control it
Are you having trouble getting the ships to obey your commands? Or are you not patient enough to wait for them to carry them out? You can't just ask a ship massing thousands of tonnes to stop, accelerate, and turn on a dime, you know.
If you've got specific problems with playing this game, send me a message and I'll be happy to help.
a lot of casual gamers and ADD kids dont like newtonian physics. They think a lack of arcade-style instant turning and super fast speed is stupid and will bore them in minutes.
When I first played this game I was blown away by the earth-based technology (similar to babylon 5) because the sci-fi of today will actually be what our first space ships will look like.
In fact, the beginning of this storyline is very much similar to what I expect will happen when commercial competition begins in space.
@ctrlaltdlt01 loolol, "casual" gamers. So hardcore gamers automatically likes this? This game is for people with special interests. I have nothing against it. I like it myself.
casual gamers have subsets just like hardcore gamers.
I didnt say all casuals, just a lot of them. They see the complexity of commands and the deliberately slower tactical pace of a game like this and either get bored or frustrated.
I would say the vast majority of hardcore space-sim RTS gamers might dislike certain aspects of this game (the game wasnt perfect, afterall), but really find the game a great addition to the genre.
@ctrlaltdlt01 Hey, I'm ADD (well ADHD which is the same thing but worse) And i love newtonian physics, never played this game before but i am looking to try it.
@ctrlaltdlt01 kids don't only have ADD there this thing called Adult ADHD and if a game isn't stimulating enough to hold my attention that’s not my problem
@ctrlaltdlt01 in all of youtube your comment is really one of the best because every time people talk about space they think of anti gravity and star trek warp drive....this game was goood it used rotational gravity which is what people will use now that space is getting commercialized... also at the start of the game they are developing and colonizing the solar system not other stars.
Only thing that annoys me is that multiplayer refuses to work on Vista, I get an error talking when it tries to join, something about failing to start the multiplayer voice component. I've tried turning off voice in the options and also running in compatability, but no luck. If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know!!
This game is awesome but how come that cant see anybody online these days? ok, so its kinda old game but still can rival others. If anybody else wants to play multiplayer like me, call me, ive got both full ver. and multiplayer demo
clearly inspired by star trek. if you could see the phasers and torpedoes in this game you will say "omg wtf picard!!" very hard core game. my only complain is for the flawed controls
i have to ask, ive seen may vids tht show nexus in two ways. your way, very detailed and the emptiness of space is full of amazing astroids and great grafix, then the other vids ive seen, in which it looks old and empty. is there an old and new version?
Yes there was an older four disk version, and a newer updated two disc version. The two disc version came with a patch that Mythos released they are no longer Mythos though. I think that means Nexus Jupiter incident 2 wont be finished.
I got Nexus: The Jupiter Incident the other day, and now when I try to install it, it keeps asking me for the authentication key . I gave it the authentication key, but it keeps saying it's the wrong one.
Is there something I have to do to make the authentication key work?
I must say these are the games I like. 3d space games require a certain skill that starcraft and the like can't compete with. Meaning no microing.
This game is very hard to master and requires lots of tactics and strategy. I would say this game is like homeworld:cataclysm.
Haegemonia is strategic but space combat was too simple. Sins of a solar empire was just a rip off of warcraft 3. It even had w3's hero system for capital ships.
Sins of a Solar Empire looks like a rip off of many games, but as it gathers the best things from all of them, I would say it's a pretty good game. If you can rip games off to do something at least as good I say it's worth it.
None of those, really. I don't believe any of them allow you total control over every last component of your starships in a fully 3-d battlefield where your ships can go in any direction and assume any orientation with respect to one another.
Up to ten depending on how far you progress in the storyline.
Once you really learn how to fight in the game, there is going to be no substitute for the manual control panel. It lets you control how far you want to be away from a target, which engines to use to get there, how much spare power you want to devote to charge your batteries, and which devices will be turned on or off.
If you get it off Steam I can help explain the game's power management system for you.
Personally i love this game there are a few reasons, firstly its very interactive you have complete control of all your ships there systems and shit, secondly no 2 battles are the same and ship strength does not play a huge part in it, its all about the skill of the user.
Not to agree with the posters below, but this video was not planned out, why would you try to showoff such an amazing game using the stealth mission? (Which is hella-hard to beat >=|) Pick one of the full scale missions.
Sadly I never got to that part of that glorious mission. My computer would always crash just after the second Gorg fleet would jump in.
At least it was great to have your efforts in previous missions rewarded. Chief Zatuk showing up for the ass-kicking of the century was just classic in that mission.
This game was so brilliant and its a tragedy there was no follow up. It had what so many space based games are missing today - tons of atmosphere and excellent tactical gameplay. These kind of tactical battles in a Galciv type game would be a sure fire winner. Yes, it wasn't perfect but the potential for greatness was there.
this game was very good but i did prefer homeworld because of the real time building and resourse collecting during missions instead of just upgrading between missions, still a great game though and a great atmosphere.
Can you imagine what would have happened had Paramount, or JMS, Creator of Babylon 5, or Ronald D. Moore, Creator of the new Battlestar Galactica had gotten hold of this game's engine and made great games with it?!
It pains me greatly to think of what might have been had this engine got the exposure it needed.
There is a specific mission that is near impossible... and a couple that will only make things worse if you go with the advice of the in-game characters. However! The rest of them are all really-really fun when when you figure out how to manage your systems and ships.
Heh! Load up a couple of energy bombs on my little destroyer... and then... BOOM! into the heart of an approaching enemy fleet.
Trick of this game is energy management, aiming for the bigs guys first, and NEVER STAYING STILL!
Nexus, which I have, even though the graphics are better than Homeworld , can't match the gameplay of Homeworld. I got bored with it. Homeworld 1 and 2 are more interactive and engrossing. The dialogue of the HW pilots doesn't seem childish as Nexus. Nexus has crap dialogue. Anyone that has played all the games knows this. Ships too slow on Nexus and pain in the butt to upgrade.
Awesome Game!

Pretty good game. Still, it has some serious issues,
The control interface could be allot more user friendly.
The tutorials are way too short and vague.
There's no where to see the keyboard shortcuts or set them.
Your ships don't do what you tell them to allot of the time Especially when it comes to missiles and torpedoes.
The way you install new devices is really unintuitive and a mess.
Resource points was just a bad idea.

I really liked this game, wished they could of made a sequal to it. having a good story, good plot, gameplay is challageing-to say the least-, the ships very closely balanced since all ships have the same tech and the graphics-for DX9 amazing and think what they could of done with DX11. overall a very beautiful game.

Mazryonh 1 year ago
I started to play it again, in version 1.01, but using a trainer or version 1.0 and a old executable to give me resourses, save, then trade again the exes. So I put all the good stuff before start playing this level where you need to protect the cargo ships. But the enemies shield was too hard to beat as mine. Is that a bug of the game, some glitch cause by the trainer or executables swap?
I just trashed my new saves.
Shaidon7 1 year ago
How did you pass this level? I couldnt get to the base within the cloaking time.
1Lordi1 1 year ago
Yep me too never got past it.
valcan321 1 year ago
It's really not that difficult. Just get as as close to the base as you can while cloaked to send your commando ferry there, and don't get closer than seven hundred units of distance to any Gorg vessel or sensor pod while cloaked. Don't decloak within line of sight to a sensor pod either. Don't bother hiding in the radiation, because it will damage your systems unless you reroute auxiliary power to the support systems.
Mazryonh 1 year ago
yep i did tt too, felt more like 3D chess, turning the battle map over & over again to analyse. But i might add that when decloaking, staying far way (abt 30000 units which is the closest i went :X) away also will not get detected. Just think before you do, like a tactician =)
keen1993 1 year ago
Yeah, I remember reading a review that said "this game is chess on the prettiest board you've ever seen, where the pieces are starships blasting seven shades of shields out of each other."
Makes you wonder why this game didn't succeed more . . .

I love the shields of Nexus.
HitodamaKyrie 2 years ago
You can say that again. Shield flares are seldom well-done in sci-fi TV shows or movies. Odd that the latest Star Trek movie didn't have any visible shields at all--they could really use the flare style from this game!
Mazryonh 2 years ago
I love the shields of Nexus. There, I said it agian. =P
Yes, I love the "hard" shield style. Unlike in Star Trek where someone shoots the ship, sheilds flare up, and then somehow the ship shakes on the inside and consoles and stuff explode... I like them to be virtually impenitrable, unless they are deactivated. Nexus has some of the best shield effects out there.
HitodamaKyrie 2 years ago
You should look into an old space combat RTS game, called Haegemonia (called Hegemonia in North America), which was released in 2002. The shield and particle effects are made of pure awesome--seeing bigger ships and stations tear themselves to pieces is better than Nexus can do ship destruction.
But yes, Nexus' Space Combat Real-Time Tactics is one-of-a-kind.
Mazryonh 2 years ago
You mean Hegemonia: Legions of Iron? Where you start the game off as choosing either Earth or Mars and then lead them to victory over the other and then you spread out through wormholes and meet two alien races? Played it already. Good game, though it could have been better. I liked the shields in it too. =D
HitodamaKyrie 2 years ago
Yep, but there was a euro-only release of the expansion pack, named Haegemonia: The Solon Heritage. I was lucky to snag a copy of the English version off of Ebay once. You can find a vid of the intro to the Solon Heritage on my channel, as well as some other nice Nexus vids.
Mazryonh 2 years ago
FYI, GOG [.] com sells Haegemonia combined with its expansion for 9.99 USD and DRM-free. No need to hunt eBay to find it, unless you're a collector.
Speaking of which, seems like Nexus: The Jupiter Project has become somewhat of a collector's item itself. Amazon has prices in the 30-40 dollar range, though you can still find it for less than that on sites like eBay. Weird.
It does look like a cool game though. I thought it was an exploration game like X or Elite, but it looks like Homeworld.
mikepalomino 2 years ago
Actually, N:TJI is available for paid download on Steam for $10 (USD) or less. Check out my vids for a tech demo of the potential sequel too.
There's also quite a few mods in production looking to put ships from other space combat franchises into N:TJI's engine. You should look around youtube to find some demo vids for them too.
Mazryonh 2 years ago
Oh that's cool. I hate Steam though, I really have to think twice about buying a game on that service. It's not that I'm DRM-paranoid or anything, it's just that I hate the fact you have to run the client to launch the game. I find that a major inconvenience & annoyance.
But should the temptation arise I might have to think about picking it up.
mikepalomino 2 years ago
Not to be picky but when we're talking about the hypothetical / fictional physics of Star Trek - where much of those exploding consoles and ship shudders are done as much for dramatic purposes as for their realism - it's difficult to compare one "reality" with another. (I am reminded of the Star Wars v Star Trek debates.)
Keep in mind since we're not actually inside the ship in the game it's arguable that the inhabitants are being tossed around as much as their Star Fleet counterparts.
mikepalomino 2 years ago
I know why they have all that going on inside. I was recently watching the Stargate series and the shields in it were just as soft as the other TV and movie based shields. It may be arguable, but we have the fact that no systems of the ships can be damaged unless you use shield piercing weapons on the side of not.
HitodamaKyrie 2 years ago
I find it difficult to call one Sci-Fi more realistic then the other when you add in the fact that intergalactic travel and laser shooting spacecrafts are not real. So we really have no way of knowing which is more real realistic and which isn't.
Everything is based off of theories.
Grykus1 1 year ago
@Grykus1 Agreed. Trying to compare one reality versus another is subjective. It is difficult to quantify the energies we're talking about in a science fiction scenario and say one is better than the other.
Especially when comparing shield strengths based on the feedback we see in a show/movie.
As I said the shudders, sparks and jolts are there for dramatic effect more so than "reality." There would be little drama if the ships were fired upon and everyone stood around like it was lunchtime.
mikepalomino 1 year ago
i got the demo for the game uh how do you move the ships??

Will EVE seem to be good with alot of update, Been on that for a yr WHAT HAPPEN TO the next line of Nexus Game that was to come out??ANY ONE?
jlockuptj 2 years ago
I should add that this game had great potential because it offered entire solar systems in a full 3d map (including ours) and looked like it was laying the framework for a much larger project, something that could have rivaled EVE or freelancer player freedom. It would have been very cool had this game been done by a bigger better funded company that had a huge vision for it. Unfortunately this was kind of a dead end and all that potential went to waste.
ctrlaltdlt01 2 years ago

LordMunchkin 2 years ago
Mazryonh 2 years ago
The game is mostly known for its single player campaign. It has nothing to do with mining or purchasing or RPG elements (save for upgrading your ship and the occasional promotion)
The game is just about tactics in battle. You can control where every gun fires, even control what parts of the enemy ships certain guns aim at. Control the englnes, the shields, the power systems, etc. Its not very complicated tho. The game does not let you buy anything, only configure your ship(s) and then control it
ctrlaltdlt01 2 years ago
This game is fucking boring -.-
Killersok 2 years ago
Are you having trouble getting the ships to obey your commands? Or are you not patient enough to wait for them to carry them out? You can't just ask a ship massing thousands of tonnes to stop, accelerate, and turn on a dime, you know.
If you've got specific problems with playing this game, send me a message and I'll be happy to help.
Mazryonh 2 years ago
Well i not enough patitent, for this stuff. I unistalled it Coz' i dont love it. I like the fast games, like some RPG, FPS, RTS...
Killersok 2 years ago
a lot of casual gamers and ADD kids dont like newtonian physics. They think a lack of arcade-style instant turning and super fast speed is stupid and will bore them in minutes.
When I first played this game I was blown away by the earth-based technology (similar to babylon 5) because the sci-fi of today will actually be what our first space ships will look like.
In fact, the beginning of this storyline is very much similar to what I expect will happen when commercial competition begins in space.
ctrlaltdlt01 2 years ago 28
@ctrlaltdlt01 loolol, "casual" gamers. So hardcore gamers automatically likes this? This game is for people with special interests. I have nothing against it. I like it myself.
Pederzen100 1 year ago
@Pederzen100
casual gamers have subsets just like hardcore gamers.
I didnt say all casuals, just a lot of them. They see the complexity of commands and the deliberately slower tactical pace of a game like this and either get bored or frustrated.
I would say the vast majority of hardcore space-sim RTS gamers might dislike certain aspects of this game (the game wasnt perfect, afterall), but really find the game a great addition to the genre.
ctrlaltdlt01 1 year ago
@ctrlaltdlt01 Hey, I'm ADD (well ADHD which is the same thing but worse) And i love newtonian physics, never played this game before but i am looking to try it.

@ctrlaltdlt01 "Commercial Competition" has already started. Nasa will be moving to complete privatization of the space program next year.
DarkDezzick 11 months ago
@DarkDezzick ya, the resupply for the station will be commercial.
Baseshocks 5 months ago
@ctrlaltdlt01 in all of youtube your comment is really one of the best because every time people talk about space they think of anti gravity and star trek warp drive....this game was goood it used rotational gravity which is what people will use now that space is getting commercialized... also at the start of the game they are developing and colonizing the solar system not other stars.
plainstudman 4 months ago
This game rocks, love the shield graphics, hehe.
Only thing that annoys me is that multiplayer refuses to work on Vista, I get an error talking when it tries to join, something about failing to start the multiplayer voice component. I've tried turning off voice in the options and also running in compatability, but no luck. If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know!!

Yes there was an older four disk version, and a newer updated two disc version. The two disc version came with a patch that Mythos released they are no longer Mythos though. I think that means Nexus Jupiter incident 2 wont be finished.

It even had w3's hero system for capital ships.
fcukedupguy 2 years ago
Sins of a Solar Empire looks like a rip off of many games, but as it gathers the best things from all of them, I would say it's a pretty good game. If you can rip games off to do something at least as good I say it's worth it.

nuttex 2 years ago
None of those, really. I don't believe any of them allow you total control over every last component of your starships in a fully 3-d battlefield where your ships can go in any direction and assume any orientation with respect to one another.
Nexus is a genius game in its own right.
Mazryonh 2 years ago
okey but can you controll more than one ship? if so
how many can you controll?
jaspertheking4life 2 years ago
Up to ten depending on how far you progress in the storyline.
Once you really learn how to fight in the game, there is going to be no substitute for the manual control panel. It lets you control how far you want to be away from a target, which engines to use to get there, how much spare power you want to devote to charge your batteries, and which devices will be turned on or off.
If you get it off Steam I can help explain the game's power management system for you.
Mazryonh 2 years ago
You should compare it to Homeworld2.
Personally i love this game there are a few reasons, firstly its very interactive you have complete control of all your ships there systems and shit, secondly no 2 battles are the same and ship strength does not play a huge part in it, its all about the skill of the user.
