@rachycentron Hi mate I landed my first spotty mack at Sunshine Reef early last Monday. Trolled a pillie on gang hooks at very slow pace. Matter of fact I was just trying to get back in as the condidions were extreme..strong Southerly rip , 40km/hr Southerly wind and big messy swell. I did not see one boat out there! But lesson learned , Will never go out in such conditions again. Lost my eski , hat , sunnys and knife comming back in! Photo should be out on noosa fishing report tonight. THANKS!!
Well , I ended up picking up the Nemo today :) Fully fitted second hand for $500. I would have liked the Espri , but I have to plan for all the other bits and pieces. Can't wait to test it and the only place I fish is Noosa. Thanks again for your help :)
The yak is my beloved Viking Espri which I still own. I've now moved on to a Stealth Supalite as a main offshore kayak but would strongly recommend the Espri as an excellent basic offshore and estuary yak. Glad you liked the video.
Thanks so much for the info , do you think the Viking Nemo would be almost good enough to take offshore in the right conditions? I have read a few posts comparing the Nemo and the Espri , I know the Espri is longer and all round better , I can get a Nemo for $500 fitted. Seems like a pretty good price - should I go for it? Thanks again
@seedofsparta The camera is a Pentax Optio W60 and I've made a chest-cam device attached to my PFD which allows me to paddle and fish and talk and still capture video with sound. It works well. Glad you like the movie.
Great video! Really gets me in the mood to go for a fish!
