Great tutorial. The drop shadow options are different on my GIMP 2.6.7 and I'm not getting the same results. Do I need to download a different drop shadow script?
This is probably a very good tutorial, but it's difficult to watch. There is too much moving around to really see what is going on and it makes it very dizzying and confusing. This would be much better with the screen larger. Obviously that messes with the file size, but it could (and should) be split into parts. If I'm right, it appears that you're using Camstudio and larger screens can be used under the Regions menu.
Thanks for the feedback. It's definitely something I'll take on board for next time - have you checked out the newer tutorials? They're recorded at a much larger size.
Thank you for this, I´m new to GIMP and I´ve struggled to follow a lot of other tutorials. This really helped me - thanks again!

You may need to download the Layer Effects plugin. Check the description for a clickable URL.
Install the plugin as per the explanation above the comments area.
