I just saw the movie "Blood the Last Vampire" It is a live action movie based on the Anime. It is great and I think the director of that should do the next dragonball movie. He directed "Crouching Tiger Hidden dragon." That was a great film and so is Blood. You should see it. It is like the Marvel movie Blade. A half human/half vampire kills vampires. Only it is a japanese girl named Saya instead of a black man named Blade.

Im not going to judge the movie until I actually see it, and I have a few replies to your comments in the video.

This movie is James Wong's version of Dragonball, he didnt take 100% of the story from the anime/manga.

I think piccolo looks decent, its not the worst I have ever seen nor is it the best, I think they did an "ok" job, I can deal with it.

The PG rating isnt just for kids. A good example is Star Wars, it was rated PG and someones arm got cut off so dont judge yet.

The greatest thing: Roshi uses kamehameha to light up a candle :)) in the manga it was used to turn of a big fire.... this looks very similar. Goku gets hurt by a gun and is nearly dead, but kamehameha's healing power save him. LOL :))))

i know its a shitty adaption, trust me this isnt what i imagined a dragon ball movie would be like after finishing the last episode of DBZ . But as a stand alone action packed movie, it could be good. So ill go with some of my buddies to watch it. I love action films.

yeah, i was picturing jackie chan as roshi (bald and beard that would be a great honor seeing as its a chinese folklore tale), and starting the series off with dragon ball, you know kid goku finding dragon balls and fighting freaks on the way and fighting in the 1st tournament, imagine jackie chun and kid goku having an epic battle with Jack snyder style cinematography. it can work, we just need the right people behind it. I wouldn't mind seeing Chan or Lee in the film, I do remember reading an article online that states James Wong(producer of Shit Balls Evolution) tried to get Jackie Chan to play Master Roshi, and Tom Welling to play Goku(perfect idea!!) oh and Ron Perlman as Piccolo(Perlman is fucking huge! He would've pulled off a great Piccolo.)

niiiice, what i ask is why is there no respect to the fans or the franchises (I.E StreetFighter 2nd try sucked too), do they know how popular dragon ball is? they took LOTR and made a masterpiece. but they take franchises that old people think are for kids and fuck it all up right. since they are the ones that have all the money.

Because we have lots of retarded directors in Hollywood hired to make movies only because companies like Fox think it will make good money since its a popular franchise. And the directors then need to make it "watchable" so to speak, they want to bring it into reality and take out people like Krillin or Kami cause they think its useless or silly. Then when they are done, they believe the film will be watched and rated well by a much bigger new audience and not only fans. And make lots of money.

Yes, this looks very terrible for a dragon ball movie. But, at the same time, it doesn't look that bad for a martial arts movie, we've seen worse acting from many mainstream martial arts movies. The only bonus I see from this movie premiering would be opening up the dragon ball franchise to new crowds. This may open up new possibilities for the dragon ball franchise in the future.
