The word "homosexual" is more appropriate and accurate because it, unlike the word "gay", actually describes the behavior/attraction/relationship being discussed.
The word "gay" helps homosexual activists push their agenda.

Americans like Brit accent, like the shows that have Brit hosts and judges. His cult followers perceive themselves to be smarter than others. Hitchens never published any scholarly work, he was not a journalist, he was a terrible historian, and his views on politics (e.g. Iraq) are shameful. One thing he is known for is his atheist stand, still inferior to Dawkins. Good Riddance to a warmonger.
