The principle of self interest dictates why every human on the face of the earth makes their individual choices. I am not saying they necessarily always make good choices, but that after considering the choices available they choose based on receiving a psychological or material benefit. When individual self-interest is pitted against each other via competition it magically produces abundance. By design, there is only one choice a human ever makes that is not based on self-interest.

That's not what I am saying. The principle of self interest is responsible for why we choose to drink a glass of water verses dry up like a raison in the sun. We can make decisions that can be selfish, self- ful or deteriorate to greed. What is important is understanding all human choices are based on receiving a benefit. Even giving money to charity is based on feeling better about having given then not. Studies have shown the principle of self-interest even applies in mental institutions!

The reason I share my opinion is I spent most of my life trying to understand why mankind has repeated World Wars, Civil Wars. I view this world as spectacular. IMO, our time on earth is on a guest status and can not envision greater shades of color then what nature provides. We are ultimately responsible for the choices we make.
