@JohninBasel The problem is that the austerity package will not work as constructed. The bondholders-especially German and French banks--are getting bailed out. Greece has been in default for most of the last 100 years. They should have known that the EU wouldn't protect them. Greece needs to restructure or flat out default. That is the only way. These austerity measures will not shring their debt-to-gdp. They will only result in having just enough money to pay the bondholders. Bad deal.

@JohninBasel The problem is that the austerity package will not work as constructed. The bondholders-especially German and French banks--are getting bailed out. Greece has been in default for most of the last 100 years. They should have known that the EU wouldn't protect them. Greece needs to restructure or flat out default. That is the only way. These austerity measures will not shring their debt-to-gdp. They will only result in having just enough money to pay the bondholders. Bad deal.

And indeed, I don't always like what Farrage says, but he's an example for me.
