Kirsten Gove.. Main Anchor, now only on the sub-regional bulletins for STV North, ideally she and Norman should share the anchoring with Andrea Brymer moving to STV Central sharing with John McKay.
@Pakokelso2010 Actually, Kirstin left in December last year to become a PR manager for a media firm in Aberdeen. She was still presenting some regional late bulletins until she left (and a regular video blog about Grampian past & present) - she had become a part-timer, so that's probably why she was dropped as a main anchor.
Having got to know her more via the video blog, it was sad to see her go.
@Pakokelso2010 Really? Haven't seen her since she signed off in December. And there's no evidence of her presenting a bulletin since then on STV's website.
@treffynnon19 She was on the other Friday night 10.30 bulletin. She still does one of the opt outs on the rare occasion. She is busy now as a PA for a company in Aberdeen.
@jamesdelboy In 1998 Scottish took over Grampian and all continuity was moved from Aberdeen to Glasgow.. Most of Grampians continuity (including this video) were pre-recorded in Glasgow.
Obviously now Grampian is no more.. it's all STV. North Tonight or STV Norths news at six may well be up for the chop soon too.
@Pakokelso2010 yes i know that now and until the end of 2009 or it may have been earlier they still kept Scotland Today and North Tonight in their own regions but now it's STV News at Six but if STV had came under ITV's hands the news would be ITV Scotland Today regarlass of region
I loved this theme for North Tonight. I started watching it around 2005 (rather late) just before the theme went - I remember it mainly for the lovely Isla Traquair when she wasn't so well known nationally. Good times...
Memories :)

As a child, these titles used to unsettle me.

@treffynnon19 She must still freelance as I have seen her crop up on bulletins this year.

@jamesdelboy Chances of that happening is well non-existent unless STV went bankrupt.

I liked Louise Stewart. I last saw her reporting on Reporting Scotland on the BBC.
As for Isla...what a star, as she is proving!
