I remember taping this off of either TNT or USA channel somewhere in the late 80's. They used to play all these type of films (Bigfoot, UFO's, etc) in the early hours of the morning. I think they stopped showing them when they found infomercials could actually be played instead. Anyway, It is a classic of the genre.

This movie looks very tenuous. Surely if you were not alive in that era where this type of movie was made, it's hard to say if it's for entertainment value or a serious attempt at documentation.
