To answer your question, if you really know the series you would know that Dr.House only takes cases interessants. And he is supposed to be good doctor, he finds the remedy is normal there are hundreds of diseases worldwide. Oh also has a series not reality.

why is it every episode basically about some unfortunate SOB dying from some freak unknown disease? and why are the endings basically all the same? where in the last minute Huse realizes he overlooked some minor detail in the exams and miracously he comes up with the cure? some people consider this show fascinating. It's predictable and tedious and times.

Yeah sure its entertaining to see the adventures house and wilson get into with the ladies and the misunderstandings but you cant deny that all the plots are basically the same. House is a fascinating doctor and in the last minute comes up with the cure to what seemed some freak unkown condition. I mean where do they get all these patients? its surreal

FORMULA is the same, not plots. There's a difference. While we watch we all know that House'll find the answer, even if the patient dies, there will be eventually the answer at the end of the ep. And yet it's interesting because of HOW it happens.

Of course it's surreal - it's television, it's entertainment. There are a lot more surreal things in House MD, and yet people decide to enjoy what they watch, instead of comparing it to real life. And there's a lot to enjoy.

Well, 6x14 "5 to 9" aka the Cuddy Ep was all about insurance companies and stuff. But I personally thought it was pretty boring, despite its rather fast pace (unlike 6x10, the Wilson Ep - which was a lot slower and calmer, and yet I wasn't bored. Or maybe I'm not objective, although while watching 5x14 I tried not to think that Wilson >>>>>> Cuddy).

really? i think house is a little to "fantasy": the way he find about the disease, the way he receive the most rarelly illnesses etc. and scrubs deals with normal routine and most of the patients die (the show has many drama scenes). Anyway, scrubs is actually one of the best show out there.
