actually the bassist leaving a band can dramatically change the band. for instance look at metallica after cliff died. and think about it, what if the replacement doesnt have the ability to play like the one he replaced. and lastly it is another personality influencing the other band members decisions and therefore their personalities too, do you not act different when one of your friends leaves and another shows up? And i personally believe Fungus is the most far out music ive heard in a while!

I don't think slap bass makes you a better bassist... Bass is more about having a great ear for melody to accent or make the music.. I love the bass in 'Deep Inside' and 'Anna Molly' to name a couple.

I have this album and it's killer. I wish they could've kept this sorta sound. It has way more personality than their newer stuff.
