before I couldn't understand.........I am starting now.......it's like I cannot hide any emotions or personal feeling from my gelding.........somehow it goes across even when one try to hide things (like distress..sadness) very interesting..........I feel like I'm only starting.....
@Talkinhorn The policy being taught here is, be honest with yourself, offer your true self to every animal be it horse, dog, cat, wild or domestic creature and most importantly, to other people as well. What Hempfling is teaching is nothing new if we are to be honest here. Respect, love, compassion, empathy, trust, strength are traits we should all aspire for and what most animals recognise and respond too. Hate and cruelty is simply the opposite, while true much more confusing to all.
I thought stallions respond to authority, but maby that's the same thing as being me? If I am me I will act like a authority if I AM a authority... So by saying that stallions respond to "you" is true in a way, BUT, it is the authority, nothing else, that the stallion respond to. And mares would also respond to "me" if I AM respectful... Am I wrong? And if I'm not, why doesn't the video clarify that?
I really don't understand the thing about "mares respond to respect and stallions respond to you"... Doesn't stallions also respond to respect? And doesn't mares also respond to the inner self of the person? I would really like to know why there is a difference here?!
I have never seen or heard of more... how to say it... "being-himself" trainer than Hempfling is. So sincere, modest and wise - I wish I understood horses at least half as much as he does... :)
Hempfling says, "It must always be beautiful" ; and this is proof! There isn't one photo where the horse's position or expression is poorly. Truly inspiring!
Deeply inspiring, stunning images, and words. The music was wonderfully calming and uplifting. A timely reminder, as today, for a while, I found myself loosing patience whilst riding, and stubbornly carrying on - what was reflected back? - STUBBORNESS!. Thankfully, once my feet were back on the ground, I gave my gelding lots of love!
it's funny how humans and horses are so much alike! (mares and women both respond to respect best of all, and both men and stallions are extremely demanding on your very presence in all it's dimensions! geldings, well, i've never met a gelded human so can't really tell, lol )
Beautiful once again... And amazing images, I kept having to rewind the video because I missed the text due to not being able to take my eyes from images. I will need to put that book on my list!... Spoke to 2 more people in Florida lately who also follow Klaus very closely, so glad to know, I am not alone...
DER Satz von Klaus: "Ich will nichts vom Pferd und bekomme alles" Danke Klaus Hempfling!

The stallion at 2:45 is so memorable from Dancing with Horses. He looks like such a sad soul until he realizes all is good.
Love this. Wonderfully done.
