  • how do you know what size your thumb is O.o like srsly I live in a country with no magic stores just websites so I have to order them online, and theres like junior size, king size and then just the original Vernet thumb tip.. so I srsly have no clue here

  • You can also make a dildo with this method :D

  • @jamescolander1 sure. or a condom.

  • why i cant see your video part 2?? it write like this 'This video contains content from SME, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.'

  • what is plaster???is there an alternative for that?

  • Omg alot of stupid comment's like "whi you don't buy one for3$?". Wtf dude's, whi you don't understand? It's maked by your hands...is so hard to understand that...

  • this is boring man

  • im not trying to dis your video its a very good idea. but by the time you did all this you could have just went to your local magic shop and bought a qulity thumbtip for less than u spent on the supiles

  • or you can simply go to your local magic store and get one for $3.00 just like i did lol..... but i have to say... you did a verry good job!

  • yea but this makes it look really professional, it's made exactly for your thumb, ex:(I'm not racist but) say a "black" person wanted one, most of them are white, this way he can make it look like his thumb and be the right color with paint.

  • @watchdisstuff Yes but do the ones at your magic store replicate YOUR thumb? No.

  • Thanx Again :D

  • Man, thanks for sharing you experience with us, it really helps! When i was a kid, i always searched for the thumb and didnt found any :(

Isn't is cool receiving comment after eight months???

  • Yeah, it's nice! Thanks for your comment and have fun ;)

  • concerning the color... one could mix a latex paint in (using a darker "coffee colored" brown paint). Perhaps even using a "flat" paint would help take some of the 'shine' off. Another option may be to dip the last layer (after the latex is tacky) in flat flesh colored latex paint.

  • You need to buy: - Plaster or Cement - Latex milk - Modeling clay What you will also need: - A stick or a screw (I used a wooden stick here) - 4 cups Better from a store.. - A pair of scissors - A needle or something with a sharp end - Your thumb
  • add food coloring to the latex

  • cool magic products you could actually buy in the HARDWARE STORE or GEN.Merchandise:

    1.clay for some tricks.

2.bubble gum-you could use it as your improvised magician's wax.

3.nitinol/memory alloy(you can buy one in the hardware stores.

4.nylon(thin)-ur very own handy invisible thread.

    about this video.

you could try to buy a cheap thumbtip in some magic shop.

i got mine and its made from SILICONE so its very neat!..

    BTW,,a well done video!!rate:5+!

  • omg how slow are you ? :P 8 mins and sped up like x1000 times!

  • No matter how much time you have all magic shops carry a wide verity of thumb tips in diffrent sizes for as little as 5 dollers, its iether 3 days of work and 20 dollers or spend 1 min online and order one for 5 dollers, its up to you guys

  • $150 for jeans, but you don't want to buy a $3 TT!

  • Actually, I would, but it's too complicated for me and does not really make sense, because I don't need a thumb-tip that much. The video was not made for me, it's for you guys out there who are creative and have time to do such stuff.

  • @mattstevensmagic custom thumb tips are much better.

  • what if your black?!

  • that's a good question... maybe you should try out some dark colors or something...

  • use some food coloring ;)

  • Interesting , but I think this is a solution in search of a problem. The item you purport to show how to make is commonly available from merchants of legerdemain and is inexpensive. If you add up the materials and the time spent to make this yourself I wonder how much the real cost is compared simply purchasing a standard one ?

  • Yeah, I agree with you. But this insures you to have a thumb-tip that fits exactly your finger and you can make it (with help of some colour) look better than the sold thumb-tips. Furthermore you have then enough material to make several thumb-tips and you will maybe be able to sell them.

  • where can you purchase latex milk??

    ty in advance, great video

  • I found it in a hardware store... But take a look at art stores or something like that.

  • thanx

  • i did this ages ago and it worked! i used glue instead of latex

  • WOW you know what would be the same thing? cut the thumb of a Latex glove and paint it tan! why go through all that trouble when you could just buy one for 4 dollars?

  • Yeah, great idea! But it may be a bit hard to use the latex-glove thumb tip. You need a hard thumb-tip and a latex-glove is usually very thin and loose on your hands. Well, if it works, tell me ;)

  • thx my thumb got stuck

  • what is the name of that song

  • Read details -.-

    --------------------------------

    The background music:

Cky - 96 Quite Bitter Beings

U2 - With Or Without You

The Boggs - Arm In Arm (Shy Child Mix)

Michael Jackson - Man in the Mirror

  • wouldnt it be cheeper to buy one lol good job tho!

  • Well, if you do it like me, you get a maybe more perfect Thumb-tip and can make as much of them as you want (until some of the ingredients ends...)

  • what's the song?? plz answer, i need it very much

  • The background music:

Cky - 96 Quite Bitter Beings

U2 - With Or Without You

The Boggs - Arm In Arm (Shy Child Mix)

Michael Jackson - Man in the Mirror

  • the lighting isnt so good in the begging ahah latex milk? where can you buy that?

  • I got my latex milk in a fabric store, I live in Germany, therefore it can be that you won't find it in those stores but look for stores with creativity-things as brushes, color, canvas etc.

Latex milk is used to make elastic figures or something like that. It's just liquid and really raw latex extracted from the trees.

If you don't find that stuff anywhere, search the internet, there you will find it sure.

  • i used liquid latex but mine had ammonia in it and smelt like a horrible chemical but it worked great.i colored mine with acrylic paint and it matches almost perfect

  • Yep, mine smells also like ammonia, that's normal. Just open a window or something... improvise :P

  • the acrylic paint rubbed off so never mind, but I literally just got done spray painting my thumb tip and it worked pretty well im just waiting for it to dry now.
