Israel can't be hit by a nuclear weapon from Iran. Simply because it's fully protected by a perfectionized arrow 2 anti-ballistic missile system. The only threats to Israel at the moment are the qassams, Katushas and artillery shells it's surrounding neighbors can send on it. The "coalition of the willing" will certainly go to Israels aid, maybe not UK due to public oppostion to war. I don't think WW3 will involve China or Russia, how could it? I think the assumption that radical-Arabs can design, manufacture, and launch a strategic or even tactical nuclear weapon is giving them too much credit. Keep in mind that Israel is the only nation with a full strategic ballistic shield and (at the moment, due to procurement) has the greatest in-flight kill capability of any other nation.

The latest NDA estimates are between 200 and 300 fission bombs comparable to the bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki. They would be between 1 kiloton and 10 kilotons in explosive yield. In addition it is believed Israel has at least 30 FUSION devices. These would be in the 1 Megaton+ range.
A fusion bomb has ONE THOUSAND TIMES the destructiveness of a fission bomb.

The opening shots probably are, but the "panic" in the streets shots are clearly Sheffield (Threads) and the explosions are stock footage from tests, the vaporizing bodies are straight from "The Day After". I have both films and in fact watched "The Day After" last night. Even "The Day After" used some stock footage from "First Strike", which was a US Documentary in the late 70s (you can find it on YouTube as a matter of fact.)
