No religion can be defined as a religion of peace if you want to go about it that way.

The majority of religions have had wars fought in their name. This includes Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Shinto, etc.

What you have described Islam to be is precisely what Christianity is. Both are homophobic, both are anti-woman, both describe non-believers as lesser people.
