Guys I had the same problem with the k599 Sciphone and none of the solutions found on the internet helped me. New chinese models tend to restart after testing is over and this results in turning the wifi application on. So I spent many hours on thinking how to bypass this function and this morning I woke up with an idea that really worked!! The steps are quite similar with the ones followed to debug older models:

put 2 chips on cell l WLAN disabled. 1-enter in factory mode *#3646633# 2-go to RF Test Tool 3-chose GSM, confirm OK! 4-go to Power scan 5-Select Band DCS1800 click OK 6-the cell frozen 7-wait for 3 minutes testing 8-Click on off button on cell, go back to principal menu (out factory menu) 9-go to settings/network settings and choose GSM Preferred!!!! problem solved from Brazil!!

@marceloalanbachega I have an Hiphone 4GS with some scrren sensitivity probem. Do you have any idea on how can I improve it.. maybe some software setting... the scrren sensitivity is normally good but sometimes it does not sense any touch at all.

Yo tuve el mismo problema. La única manera de arreglarlo es que te vayas a la Configuración > Configuración de Red > *la única opción que sigue* > y elijes "GSM preferido", posiblemente te aparezca un mensaje que dice "Sin finalizar", si te aparece, entonces tendrás que poer por default la configuración, lo cual no sé hace desde el mismo celular, si no desde la PC, por el momento es en lo único que puede ayudarte, ya que yo tampoco sé como configurarlo por la PC.

there are phone fails, I`ve bought more than 10 of this models and just 1 did this same error. Guarantee gave me a new one. Don`t get crazy trying to solve the problem, it`s a failure. Can`t be fixed by us.

I have this same error. Incoming calls work fine. But cannot call out. The network mode seems to stick to WLAN only. Cannot switch to GSM only. When I do it just says "unfinished". Can anyone fix this problem?

For the famous not allowed to dial is a software bug. Not able to fix w/out flashing phone. You can avoid this. In the Settings Menu > Configuration Network, Configuration SIM1 > 4 options.

DO NOT select for any reason 1) ONLY GSM or 2) ONLY WLAN u get not allowed to dial" all outgoing connections to GSM are blocked and you setting is stuck permanently
