My mother turned to me the night of the 2004 Democratic Convention and said "That man is going to be our next president." I am glad she was right. I agreed with her and now we are doing our best to show our support for Sen. Obama down here in Alabama.

Now spin is McCain was right that surge would work & Obama wrong & Obama wouldn't be able 2 go 2 Iraq now had it not worked. Well, Obama was right all along about war when he was against it from the start! Just the fact that more troops had 2 b sent means the war was illconceived, mismanaged which led to the civil unrest & terrorists spilling over the border when there wasn't any in Iraq to begin with! Even McCain said knowing what he knows now, no nukes in Iraq, etc, he'd do it all over again!!

Be honest people, how many got the MESSAGE, how many knew after hearing him SPEAK for the first time that HE was going to be the president of the United States. It was Oprah who made me take notice of him, I was surprised cos I thought she was going to back Clinton. So I just agreed with whatever Oprah had decided and ignorantly supported Barack. Then when looking for an Oprah speech at one of his rallys I decided to listen to him, and then BOOM I got the MESSAGE he is going to be president!!

I am a Republican. I was convinced I'd vote for McCain all along.

But then I realized the issue of Iran isnt going away, and the first step in trying to solve it can either be diplomacy or war.

Any candidate who would put our troops in harm's way before FIRST doing everything in his power to diffuse the situation peacefully should not be President.

This is not a videogame we're playing, real lives are on the line, and we can't afford a cowboy pesident.
