So how much weight did it add? I want to put my 4oz go pro video camera on my super cub is why I ask. Also, do you know what altitude you were at? thanks.
@miggetymike1 Not sure how much weight it added. Probably 8-9 ounces. The drag, not the weight, is what really takes a toll on the plane when flying with a banner.
I appreciate the reply and thanks for the measurements. I've been flying for about 2 years now, so no need to worry about me, I'm actually tying the thing to an eflite apprentice. It has a 480 Brushless engine in it so I'm pretty sure it can handle the weight just fine. Have a good one, and thanks!
Where do you get the fabric for that? I searched windsox fabric, and it doesn't turn up anything, by the way, what are we looking at for dimensions of the fabric? I can't add too much weight to it, but With the 10x6 prop you don't seem to have any trouble flying even with the wind. Mind setting me up with your specs there?
@statiiic You can get windsox fabric at hobbylobby. The dimensions are 20" x 75". I used a 1/4" wooden dowel with some weights on the bottom. It's pretty heavy, but just adjust your pitch trim to compensate. If you are a beginner flier, I highly recommend getting 20-30 flights in before trying a banner this size.
Neat!!! have you tried bigger banners?

What did you do to the prop, what where the materials, and how did you get it to fly right side up so it could be read

@AKjunkieify I used three small U bolts. I placed them around the wooden dowel.
