you can feed them ur shit once in awhile too, thats just to provide them minerals and vitamine....... but you only can feed them about 10 grams everyweek. This in turn will show their true colour out in a very very short time and will brighten their colour by 300%!!! This method is not widely known as those campionship breeders dont want you to know the secret. I have a close friend thats works in Xian leng farm for many years and revealed this secret to me.

We are doing a hobby like aquarium hobby we are NOT try to simulate nature's conditions 100%-that's impossible from the first place anyway!

If aquarium was an exact simulation of nature's conditions then we should have at least a thousand of gallons monstreous tank with many many arowanas in it with all its bio-ecology they have and i mean the biology of Amazon rivers' ponds that arowanas live in them.

@ZA56AA OK, so I never said anything about trying to recreate any type of environment i was just saying it is not particularly out of the ordinary for one animal to eat another, I HAVE SWAM WITH GIANT AROWANAS many times and not ONCE did they do anything aggressive towards me, the Amazon river is muddy, murky, and overall dirty, and I would never put a predatory fish in a situation that would hamper its ability to fuction, you would know all of this if you did some research or actually owned one

I currently have a 34 inch arowana living with a pair of 5 inch kissing gourami's, the kissing gouramis chase it around the tank all day long...however if I forgot to feed it for just one day both of those gouramis will be gone I guarantee it
