Hey this is a very sweet composition and you played it brilliantly. I also tried to play this. I have uploaded a video on this on my channel. I am learning flute since last one year.
Hey dis is excellent. Ur Guru would be very proud of u. I saw the other video in youtube where u hav explained Raag Bhupali. Its nice and informative. Iam a self-taught flutist. Can u please upload the videos explaining some more Raagas.
Hi, very nice playing . good composition on raag bhupali.... i m learning flute frm last 6 months..i have just learnt this raag..can u please send me the notes of this.
Beautiful gat! I never cared much forr bhoopali because i just assumed it was a beginners raag, then I saw Chaurasia Ji in concert play this beautiful Gat( It went ilke "D P R,, S G.....srgpdsdpgrsr"...fell in love with it ever since!
@a1vivekbarunrai - hi! thanks a lot for your comment :). I've been playing 16 years now though had a short break in the middle when I was doing school exams..
@moe210333 - Hi Moe...sorry for the delay in replying. Thanks for your nice comment! I'll be posting some new videos soon so subscribe to my channel and watch this space!
@chaitubappa hey chaitu...just be conscious of relaxing and just enjoying it. i still tense up when i play but you have to just relax your fingers totally...shake them every so often and you'll see how amazingly you can play! :)
Hello Brother you did good job, I just start learning flute before 3 month things going good apart with job :-) HOpe I will get more time for practise.. Keep rocking, where are you form?
May I ask you... what you do to reduce the gap between Ga and Pa in this case of Bhoopali.. or the gap between Ma and Pa in case of other raaga taking Ma?
especially when you play with high speed..
e.g. sa re ga, re ga pa, ga pa dha... In this.. Ga pa and again coming to Ga.. that too without having much noticeable gap..
@chaitubappa - hi chaitubappa - thanks a lot for your comment. To reduce the gap between the notes is just pure practice. start off moving from Ga to Pa and then back to Ga at a slow speed. Then try a bit faster and faster until you can do it at a very fast speed. If the notes become unclear then go slower again and then speed up. Let me know if you have any other questions.
That particular flute was bought off someone who came back from india and had bought a flute from Harshwardhan. He is the maker of all of Hariji's flutes and the quality is amazing especially as you play it more. The problem is that if you don't see it before you buy it then you might get sent some poorer quality ones. best thing to do is go to india!
You should show your face more at Bhavan dude. I've also been learning from Clive Bell for a little while now...be nice to see you there :-) Loving the improvisation
Yea my practice is in complete shambles, I'm working and studying at the mo so find it difficult to get time. Be great to get a few tips from you...practice schedule etc.
ah right...you'll have to remind me (goldfish memory!) how old are you and how long you been playing? I find it difficult to practice as well with work but you gotta try to get the hour a day. but there's LOADS of stuff you can do if you can't get that time. I've messaged you my email address. write to me and i'll let u know whatever u want. Anuj
Thanks for your comment. The notes are a bit unclear but this was just a rehearsal. Also this was a pure improvisation on something I had heard just 10 mins before so I might have played the gat a few times! More videos to come so please give me more comments :D. was the playing ok otherwise?
That was amazing......:)

Thanks a lot Anuj for your reply.
I understand that practice is the only way.
My problem is, my grip on bansuri becomes stiff sometimes, hence that makes it little difficult to play ga pa ga in fast tempo.
Anyway, will keep on practicing.
All the best to you too :)
