  • You play very well. You play that very well. I confess I don't care all that much for Ms. Bish's arrangements although she seems a very lovely lady.

  • Love the arrangement - powerful organ!

  • The Speed is OK for a Solo Part, but if you play it as hymn for singing, you have to be faster :)

  • AHH, Thanks for playing this. This hymn is akin to the Lutheran "A Mighty Fortress'.

This is a little slow, tho

  • Hi as an organist for a wonderful church, I like this piece that I would love to order it....can you tell me where to order the music? It would be a great prelude or offertory.

    Happy Playing!

    Robert

  • nicely played

  • Thank you for posting. I enjoy your music and talent.

  • I know this piece as the "TE DEUM". It is a my favorite hymn, and this is a marvelous interpretation of it. I also appreciate the camera work of this recording which shows the organ and the architecture of the church. I do have one suggestion however. What makes organ playing so fascinating to watch is the skill of the organists hands and also feet on the pedals. If that could be considered in some future recordings, it would enhance them even more I'm sure. Great playing!

  • Very well done my friend.....you can come sub for me when I need one!!!! LOL!!! Loved it....you have a God given gift.

  • Amazing organist! I am an avid organ enthusiast and happy to find you on here. Do you have any CDs and/or play for a church?

  • GREATE INSTRUMENT!!!MUSIC SUPER!!!

  • This is great. I don't know if its just me, but it sounds like a minor third in the melody at 3:17 , but it sounded really cool. I don't know if Bish wrote it that way, or if it was just a mistake, but it was cool! :)

  • @n4bgw You have to start at 3:14 to hear it.

  • BRAVO!!!! I 've never seen a pipe organ in a Baptist church before this, but your church's organ is MARVELOUS!!! it doesn't hurt that this is my favorite hymn.

  • Great job, what a wonderful talent and such a great touch with heart and soul. Keep up the Youtube, and if you ever do a cd, please let us know. God Bless you buddy.

  • Wonderful hymn thankyou for playing it so much touches my heart to hear aq good organist.

P.S. You will have to visit Kettering Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Kettering,Ohio we have the 2nd largest pipeorgan in Ohio it is a Casavant Freres

  • AH JASON I am truly blessed every time I listen to you play this beautiful arrangement of a loved hymn, you really are talented and I hope the best for you and keep up the good work, God bless you...... George in cleveland tennessee

  • A fine instrument played by an excellent organist. Enjoy all of Jason Payne's performances. My church has a fine old Austin that takes a back seat to the orchestra and other instruments.

  • Amazing

  • Be interesting to see tempo markings! Organ kind of squeely but thats typical of that builder! Keep up the good work!

  • lucky, you have a backrest!

  • I enjoyed your talent as well as the pleasing sound of this organ.

Do you play regularly at this church? I would like to attend when passing-through Decatur, just to hear you play in-person.

Best of luck, keep practicing, and God bless you.

  • Liked even better this time... do you have recordings for sale? James... will check back to this board to find out!! GREAT

  • Excellent..... James McHone

  • very nicely done!!! YAY for the TUTTI button at the end!!!

  • you play this hym very well

  • Really nice playing! Thanks for sharing. You do a nice job utilizing the numerous resources on the organ. I saw my first Schlueter in Hopewell, VA about 5 years ago. It was a moderate 2-manual with a clean sound that would knock your socks off! For a small organ, it was very versatile and fun to play. Keep up the great work!

  • Very Cool!

  • questa intrerpretazione rende il brano di una intensità struggente!

  • Beautiful job. I absolutly love this arrangement. You do an excellent job of playing this. Thanks for sharing.

  • Nice job, I love this arrangement too! My only concern is it seems a bit slow compared to the recordings I have of Miss Bish playing it, otherwise marvelous!!

  • Cool. I'm wondering if we've ever crossed paths? All Saints has a IV/87 Buzard pipe organ. Very nice instrument.

  • Cool. Have you ever played the organ at All Saints Episcopal or St. Philip's Cathedral? I live in Sandy Springs just north of Buckhead.

  • I used to practice at St. Philip's a few years ago... awesome reverb inside that place! I've never played at All Saints. What sort of instrument do they have?

  • Do you live in Atlanta?

  • Yes, I do.

  • I love this arrangement and love to play it too!

  • i love diane bish's arraingment of this song. you played it good too. just curious...where were you able to find this sheet music?

  • I happened to have the original Diane Bish book from a previous organ professor who passed it on to me... I think you can still order it from Diane's website.

  • oh really whats the book called?

  • The book is the Diane Bish Organ Book, Vol. 1. You can buy it from her website.
