evolution doesnt disprove God anymore than gravity or general relativity could for Newton or Einstein?!!
Read Newton's Mathematica Principia. He expected law in nature because he believed in a Law Giver (and declared the glory of God in that discovery)!.
Einstein could not see how the universe could be comprehensible without a creator He declared, "The deeper one penetrates into nature’s secrets, the greater becomes one’s respect for God.” (Einstein, as cited in Brian 1996, 119).
what brings out the best in any god is that there is no god . if i run around killing people and say the devil made me do it. You ll call me crazy and lock me up , but if i talk to a happy friendly guy in my head im a good sane person. yeah right .
actually it's the complete opposite, the more you study religion, the more you get to the roots of our beginings. Spirituality is at the begining before the detrimental religious distortions. When you are at the begining it's a most beautiful and much more exiting story. Shit, it's where we pulled the oldest and longest kept integral part of human history from.
God as he/she/it is percieved by humans is becoming more compassionate all the time. In that respect God is growing up. Attempts to make God go away will likely arouse anger in people, thus making God more angry.
His first book, The Moral Animal, was nothing but page fluff. This book seems to be more of the same. If you want to see a real “evolution” of God, watch the 13-minute video “Evolution of Christ” to see reality.
All people want power, when people belive in god beleve they have power and people how argue think they lose power if god exists people become defensive when you remove power.
Evolution happened! At least I believe it did. It just seems more logical if you ask me cuz religions just say "God created everything" and there is no proof that the bible is real, it could be all made up.
This is an incredible book that makes total sense as the true reality of :"GOD" I was so pleased to read this book. It will awaken your consciousness.
religion, divide and conquer.dont get me wrong,religion..is beautiful.faith is a strong err force within...but lets face it.whats worst than humans..its ok to hate me.ur religion probably told u to.
think what you will but if im right i go to heavn and you go to hell ... if your right then no 1 will go to heavn..so really i win both ways atlest i have a chance
That's right. . . do the normal thing you people do and totally ignore the point that's made and reinforce the stereotype of how dishonest you are.
Oh and predicting that people will wise up to the bullshit eventually isn't exactly a great thing. . . Nearly every religion says that. . . are they all right?. . .No. . .
Pascals wager actual works against the religious, because the available choices, make their claim so unlikely that it really does not matter if you choose it. Such as if Christianity is true, with the 32,000+ sects, the chance of their version of Christianity being right is less then 1 percent. The only way to get people to believe a religion is evidence, not some fear tactic of hell. Just point out hte probability to them, and they will never use the argument again if they are rational.
Firstly because we are still classified as apes. 2ndly because there isn't a set evolutionary path. It's not a ladder where we are at the top. But everything is still evolving.
Amazing book, but I disagree with him on the moral truth part. Technology is the only thing that made our morals progress, if this technology is gone, our morals will be back to Stone Age. So this change in morals is not permanent
I would like tot tell you now that technology has nothing to do with morals using one example:
Democracy(on which we all rely on in a society) was implemented in ancient greece when technology was primitive. Then from the middleage till 50 years ago (when technology was already advanced)comunism destroyed half of the world, proving that morals were not a priority then. and now the majority of countries took the greece example and chose democricy because it had morals.
@ComingSoon1984 that's not what he was saying with the book at all. He was saying the more you study it, the more imperitve it becomes to the future of the human race. He's saying we NEED religion. We need a better one. The best one, so that we can become our best selves.
ILL DEBATE ANY OF U IDIOTS ON THE BIBLE AND THAT JESUS IS GOD AND IS VERY VERY GOOD.

pascals wager. . . a logical fallacy.
A: If your special brand of religion (out of the tens of thousands with just as much evidence for) is wrong then you're going to be frying with us.
B: there are some religions which allow atheists to go to heaven if they're good, yet worshipping another god is only worthy of hell.
So even if there was a god, atheists still have a better chance of going to heaven then you.
