I didn't realize that Matthew Wayne Davis AKA 2 the Ranting Gryphon (Born in 1972) could so easily be confused by some dude born in 1956. There is no way 2 can be Joe, considering Joe was performing lead guitar for rock bands in the 1980's. 2 would only have been 16.

Joe continued in music, 2 is now just a professional comedian. Seems to be a pretty big difference there to me.

I think it was more about the setup. It sounded like a fuzz pedal somehow wound up in there. It might be just the sound he's looking for. also he might be using it later to play a different style of music

Upon closer inspection, I see that it's not a Peavey. I've seen a similar headstock on a Schecter, though.
