Ughh, the first time I tried to beat him was horrible. Basically you have to endure a few long cutscenes, and then the first and second form takes a good while, and then the third form absolutely raped me so I had to start the entire boss over. Then I tried out the fire magic which raped him instead, I had been ignoring magic in this game and had no idea it was this overpowered...

Anyways, this is my favorite game ever.

Wow such a classic. I remember when I use to play this when I was younger I use to get confused by the puzzles in this game. Then I had to buy the guide and it help me out alot

@earisu lol i never played alundra 1 :$:$:$ but i would like to. In my opinion i think ppl is disappointed of alundra 2 cuz like you say is not a "true sequel" but i enjoy play it as hell, honestly it was an awesome game probably one of my fav rpg games :D give a try ;)

Poor Melzas. Fire REALLY owns him without a chance.

However, he poses a real challenge if you don't use any magic. His second form, at least.

I don't get what flew into the creator's mind. Alundra is a turn-based RPG, while Alundra 2 is an action RPG.

Throughout my 10 years of playing Alundra, (I played it when I was 5, I still play it now I'm 15) I never fully got my head around what the 3rd Boss Battle actually is.. anybody got any clues?..

I always thought The Brain, The Eyes and The Hands were Melzas..

The massive, grotesque brain-hands-eye mixture is indeed Melzas. More accurately, it's Melzas' true form. The imposing, but nonetheless humanoid, figure you encounter is pretty much his 'avatar' or an illusion of sorts. Notice how it 'sprouts' from the ground like some kind of plant-like appendage.

With the exception that Alundra had everything what Zelda lacked. A great and deep story.

I cannot complain about the gameplay and the music, which is for my taste superior than Zelda´s OST.

Well if you aren't looking for challenges stay out of it, however most Zelda fans complain that most of the puzzles are too easy for their tastes. So if you are looking once more for a challenge, open you heart for this game. Also for any case you have Gamefaq for less frustrating moments.
