you know that it looks like the comet is disintegrating -- what will all the YT's that hyped the troubles with elenin say if it ends up being a dud -- will everyone get back to life or pick the next doomsday date and go on about it -- if something does end up happening well then few will go on -- I'm just trying to learn what stance those people who hyped this comet who stood in the "i know" line will do if nothing happens -- any ideas?

Observations by amateur astronomer Michael Mattiazzo of Castlemaine, Australia show a rapid dimming and elongation of the comet's nucleus akin to that of Comet LINEAR (C/1999 S4), which also disintegrated when it approached the sun in 2000. Comets are fragile objects, so this development while unexpected comes as no surprise.
@smartpeeple Comet Garradd...Its blue...and visable...also a first time vistor to our solar system...But everyone attention is on Elenin...So now that Elenin has come in contact with our glorious star's solar winds plus it's gravity, seems to have put more stress on the fragile, that it could bare. Garradd should be the next doomsday cosmic object. I'd be more worried about what is going on with the Russians.
