Interesting to hear he had problem copying lines from Wes.. Goes to show, one doesn't have to be a clone to be an original thinking musician. Some have talent for originality. I prefer those types. Read long ago that Joe never copied more then 8 measures from any musician.

@jazz1bro Yes, most from GB's era learnt more from Charlie Parker's chromaticism than any other guitarist. Joe Pass always said he never listened to other guitarists but heard parker instead.
