why can't we just respect both artists' styles? Gaga's amazing, and her dress style and outlandish antics fit her personality, just Daughtry's acoustic guitar and bald head suit him. Daughtry's voice is vastly superior to Gaga IMO. Unlike her and her autotune sound, he shows emotions and sensitivity when he is singing this while Gaga sounds like a robot.

To me music is about connection and feelings and I do feel something when I listen to this version while I feel boredom only when I listen to the original.

It's like the song goes from being a happy-go-lucky, strip-teasy, "I'm playing this bitch" kind of song; to a tragic, thought-provoking song that expresses anger, frustration, and trying to work out a relationship where there is love, yet brokeness and hurt. As one who's estranged from my dad's side of the family, I'm like, "Jesus; that is exactly a lot of situations in my family;" and the love doesn't have to be romantic or sexual at all.
