  • In other news, the Dow and Nasdaq are up.

  • I was only 14 years old back in 9th grade when I was at school I was watching this footage, it was soooooo intense.

Will cities in Iran look like this???????? (Hope not)

  • @JuggalocodeChile1988 You should go back and research what went on. The Iraqis put up a hell of a fight, which we the public weren't exactly informed about.

  • U GUYS DONT KNOW THAT SADDAM WAS FIGHTING BY HIM SELF IN THIS 12 HOURS FIRE FIGHT .. AND DONT SAY ITS ONLY WIA OVER THERE THERE WAS AT LEAST 13 KIA GUYS ... BYE ..OUT

  • Geezes...this footage is nothing near as extreme as me playing Skyrim...people on the internet need to get there act together....sheesh....My thumbs hurt.....

  • my friend is the one on the stretcher shooting back

  • Any scouts, medics, or other mortars that were there and want to contact me on Facebook feel free (Jeremy Lucas )

  • @357calibur2 WHATS UP, AM CRUZ, FROM THE SCOUT PLATOON 3-15INF THUNDER RUN !!!!! I WAS LEAD WITH RESSUPLY SFC. MARSHALL.

    SCOUTS OUT!!!!

  • It was a really long fight bit never did we lose ground (3-15 Mortars)

  • I am in J.R.O.T.C. and my 1st SGT. actually told me about the objective he also told me that he was apart of it.

  • Us paraTroopers respect the 3ID, HOOAH!

  • That was a long day. My TDB went out, by driver (Huth) had been MEDEVACed with shrapnel in his rear. But the Barbarians took the field that day and won! CAN DO... Barbarian 5!

  • damn 8 hours, that video is intense.

  • damn 8 hours

  • The comments on any video involving Iraq...lol

  • That NCO on the 50 CAL. is now at Fort Irwin (SFC Rodriguez?)! I see him and say hi but doesn't remember me. So I keep saying hi to him when I see him.

  • I just finished reading "Thunder Run" by David Zucchino, amazing book, i honestly had no idea it was that intense, it's really interesting to watch scenes of what i just read. The skill and bravery of the guys who fought out there can never be underestimated and forgetting the politics of it all, what they did militarily , should never be forgotten

  • Wasted one while on a stretcher.. Whoever you are you have my respect brother!

  • The amount of gunfire... the report of the rifles and machine guns all at once sounded as frequent as raindrops from a torrential down pour. I'll never forget the sounds and smells of that day! This video does it no justice!

  • 1 st platoon! It was an honor to fight this battle and be a part of history.

  • CSM BOB was a beast!!!! 1st platoon!!!

  • my teacher for army junior rotc was in this i think he got his purple heat here.

  • @minesbetter2 LOL whats his name?

  • I was there that day. That fire fight lasted at least 8 hours, some say 10. It was the longest hours of my life. After we were done there, we pushed to some of Saddam's palaces and stayed the night. I'll never forget this day. To all the guys of 3-15, it was an honor fighting side by side with you.

  • @gthepest20 I missed this fight due to my driver breaking the our Bradley!

  • @gthepest20 there is no honor invading iraq for WMD and oil

  • @malaymercernary while you may say there is no honor in invading Iraq for WMD and oil, that's your opinion. Unless you were there, I kindly advise you to keep your comments to yourself. This isn't about "honor". This is about our brothers and sisters in arms who survived a conflict while you get to sit back and arm chair QB. Thanks.

  • @gthepest20 killing some iraqis while you people were invading iraq for WMD (a total lie) is wrong. occupying iraq and setting up a puppet regime is wrong. there was no need for this conflict at all. no need for our brothers and sisters in arms to kill other people and be at risk of getting wounded or killed themselves. whose going to pay back the trillion dollars of american national debt? you? the real enemies are the people in a secret society whose destroying america from the inside.

  • @malaymercernary Regardless whether it was wrong or not, this is about our brothers in arms surviving a conflict in which our government propelled us into. We didn't ask to start a conflict, but that's what ended up happening. No one in their right mind would "wish" to go to combat without ever knowing he/she will come back alive. I can tell right away you're a left wing nut who can't try to put political nonsense into arguments. This has NOTHING to do with politics. Get your facts straight.

  • @gthepest20 Hell yeah... Curley was a freaking long ass day.. The palaces were sweet though. (3-15 Scouts)

  • @gthepest20 Hardcore stuff.

  • @gthepest20 What happened to 3/7 cav @ the Airport, do you have any idea? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your service.

  • Holy crap, I have been looking for this footage of and on ever since it was shot. I have never seen it before but I experienced it. I am in a few of the shots. Thank you for posting this.

  • that kids name was nauman he hit a wounded syrian that was reaching for an ak and didnt succeed. i remeber that day like it was yesturday.

  • Q "Did he hit what he was aiming at?"

    A "Yes, twice, I think"

I bet that reporter didn't even understand that military humour. Lol

  • @Lachausis Notice how, right after, there's a heavy breath and then the talking stops for a little while. Guessing that's the "caugh button".

  • I was up at Moe while this was going on. Helluva fight for us. These guys were about 3 miles south of us while this was going on, but they had A LOT less firepower than we did. Hats off to them.

  • Ive just read thunder run and would like to give all those serving in that offensive a big thumbs up. hoooahhhh.Goodwork! and as for the convoy of soft skinned vehicles that had to resuply the posiotions at moe and curly, under that barrage, well what can i say...your lucky more of you didnt get hit. Did they locate where the missile that hit the toc was fired from? thought it might have mentioned in the book.....

  • If you like this video, you need to read the book titled "Thunder Run", it details these guys from start to finish on this thunder run and the capture of Baghdad. I was lucky to have served with the guys from 2nd Bde, 3rd ID in OIF3. Send Me!

  • was the guy on the left in the back pulling rear security while the medics got the guy on the stretcher out. I wish the film really portrayed how things happened that day. The MSNBC reporter Craig White and his crew, Dennis Steel from the Army Times did a great job and them in themselves were very courageous. Sergeants First Class Severs and Marshall both were taken out by direct RPG hits, RPGs were coming at us in full Hollywood fashion. It took us days to find SFC Severs upper torso.

  • a little to much information dont you think?

  • @gghillin777 china beach!

  • I have looked for the vid of the soldier firing from his stretcher for years! Thank you.

I'm glad the reporter commented on how many of the mujahideen fighting here were Syrians who received terrorist training in camps there and were then sent to Iraq to fight. Funny how none of the media today (or their favorite political party) seem to remember how the US was fighting a multi-national Islamic terrorist force in Iraq.

But noooo-oooo-oooo-oooo, Iraq had NO connection to terrorsm!

  • Are you a retard?

  • So have I, Do you know what happend to that soldier? I remember his father was on MSNBC doing an interview. I also read somewhere that soldier was killed later on, I am not sure, I loved this video. There is a vid that shows pictures of the battle. I didn't relize it was 80 US soldiers against 300. RIP to the soldiers that died.

  • @IamMaiC yes I do; my dad works for DAV and he is trying very hard to give him his medals he deserved and never got not only this get him his disability entitlements. I need this video in a quicktime format. If you or any one knows where I can get it tonight that would be great!

  • damn..i remember this footage..back when i was in the 8th grade.

when that wounded man on the stretcher fired..i was like...damn..that was hardcore

  • @DDIISSEE dude I got stories about that guy!

  • @DDIISSEE hardcore? ill argree but we are trained to attack reaact later, that man on that stretcher was still layin down supressive fire. it had to be done, its not a fact of thinking as "im on a stretcher lets make this look kool" its an instinct you do what you have to, to help your brothers in arms. ill agree hes hardcore!! he did what wer trained to react assess and take action my honors go to the 3-15th you guys did a hell of a job!!

  • god bless the USA!!!!!
