I have never seen a storm shelter like this! This is exactly what we need to survive the tornado season here in Arkansas. We do not even have a basement, and are left vulnerable during storms. With the Joplin, Mo tornado hitting so close to home, this is something we hold high on our priority list of "must get"... and this would be a blessing to us!

@SmartSheltersInc - Love these shelters. Would really love to have one! How about the saferooms, do you tihnk they are just as good as the shelters? Because of my fear of small places, I feel like I would feel better in a saferoom, plus if we had my 87 year old mom here too, she can't really get in a shelter undergrond.

@njroy123 Hi Nancy, yes we make safe rooms too. In your particular situation a safe room might be preferred over a tornado shelter. One thing to think about is if your home is hit by a tornado the debris would be hitting the safe room and the noise would be intense. All in all, a safe room is better than no protection at all.
