  • Would be great if we had mud here, too, but we only got now more then 10 cm deep frozen earth, no chance to get out for a happy hunt, if not using a jackhammer. Horrido ! Again loved watching your video. Wish you more happy hunts.

  • @uw1955 Just been away down south and the ground there is at least 5 cms deep frozen in ice, managed some cracking finds, even without the jackhammer, but really hard work. Glad you like the videos and wishing you an early thaw, all the best, Ian.

  • Hi Ian, mud, mud glorious mud!! Lol :) enjoyed watching your video as always, thanks for sharing ... GL & HH Tina

  • @gbpauluk Hi Paul, glad you liked this, mate, shame it didn't occur to me to get on commission as I reckon I've sold quite a few judging by the responses I've had to my videos, oh well, will just have to go for the hoard instead, good luck to you and HH, Ian.

  • Ian your vids are mint i going to watch all 58

  • Great hunt Ian!!. Again I enjoyed watching matey.

Thanks for taking the time to make this vid in all that mud!!!.

    John.

  • @OLDGOLD1100 Hey John, thanks for watching. Not a lot of choice about making vids in mud when you're out detecting up here at the moment. Hopefully it will all dry out in a few weeks, good luck and HH, mate, Ian.

  • glad to see you out again Ian,great vid again, regards al

  • @chavey65 Hey Al, glad you enjoyed it, mate, good luck and HH, Ian.

  • good stuff!

  • @umrgolf2000 Thanks, mate, glad you liked it, good luck and HH, Ian.

  • very interesting! Never seen a counterfeit shilling like that

  • @Ringo853 Thanks Ringo, neither had I, just goes to show you never know what's going to come up in the fields. Good luck and HH, mate, Ian.

  • My second english find was yesterday in a fiel : 1898 old head queen victoria penny !! but in bad shape I'm trying to clean it up but the bronze is really bad !

  • @marjane1313 Nice one Jerome, if it's really crusty try soaking it for a few days in a mixture of bicarbonate of soda and olive oil. Brush every night with a toothbrush, might help. Good luck, Ian.

  • Ian,

Some great finds and well done on the persistance with the weather.

  • @GemQ1 Hi GemQ, thanks, mate, am trying to stay positive on the weather but they're telling me it's going to be around minus 11 here over the next few days, still as long as it stays dry and the wind stays down then it's not too bad. Good luck and HH, mate, Ian.

  • Hi there Ian, again a great video with good neat fnds !! Its always a pleasure to see your hunting !! Sorry for not posting new videos, but although I have time to go out metal detecting, I either forget the camera or havn't time to make the video !!! HH, jerome

  • @marjane1313 Hi Jerome, glad you enjoyed the video, mate, not to worry about the videos, as long as you're finding good stuff you can always do some videos on wet cold and windy days. Good luck and HH, Ian

  • From the land of the Bluenose.....as always me bouy a pleasure to watch!

  • @Bluenoser1954 hey bluenose, thanks for watching, mate, good luck and HH, Ian.

  • Fabulous viewing - can't help looking into the holes as you zoom in - trying to see that target a you do, very engaging. Also like how you are careful on the initial ID's - I have a lot of fun with my incorrect ID's.Great hunt and you got some great finds as well. Cheers mate GL & HH

  • @IrocOn2 Hey irocon2, glad you like the videos, mate, I'm trying to be a bit more cagey on the ID's as I get far too many wrong on camera, lol, still all part of the fun I guess, Good luck ana HH, Ian.

  • I really enjoyed your video Ian, love those big old coppers and the barrel tap is a very neat find too.

  • @Bell2trac Hello, mate, really glad you enjoyed the videos, I've had two of these barrel taps from this site now, must have been some village parties going on way back. Good luck and HH, Ian

  • Congrats on all the finds and HH

  • @MrJohnson448 Hi MrJohnson, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, good luck and HH, Ian

  • You've found some really fascinating finds in this hunt, Ian. It's not everyday that you'll come across counterfeit coins on a hunt, especially when those who made them may have faced very harsh penalties for doing so. It's such a shame that the ealy georgian coins are in such a bad condition. I think it's time that lady-luck provided you with a lot more silvers to make up for it ;) I'm glad to see that you are still coming up with many good finds from your hunts. GL & HH :D

  • @fluoridekid Hi Rich, took me quite a while to figure out what these were but really interesting. I know CoinageBrittania found a counterfeit Geo III sovereign a while back. I think you're dead right about the silvers, mate, lol, we'll see what her ladyship provides next week. Good luck and HH, Ian.

  • Nice finds. Another great couple of videos mate. Enjoyed coming along as usual. HH

  • @PlugMartian Hey Plugmartian, glad you enjoyed these videos, no particulary fantastic finds but some interesting bits n pieces. Good luck and HH, mate, Ian

  • Great video and finds again GL&HH

  • @MrVollenberg Glad you enjoyed it, mate, good luck and HH, Ian.

  • another great vid....you have the euroace now, and think you had a cscope before, how did you get on with that...looking for a cheap detector for the missus..what model was it,and was it as deep as the euro?

  • @eyediggit2 get her the euro ian helped me so much with mine and i tell thee what its a cracking machine love it

  • @1981copey

her the euro..i would like one...i mean cheap cheap....she will soon get fed up..

  • @eyediggit2 Hello, mate, yes I had a CScope 1220XD, had it for about ten years, but honestly think the euroace is better. If you watch the series of videos I did in Feb last year you'll see all the finds I made with the euroace that the cscope missed. The euroace finds stuff as deep as 30 cms but the cscope probably only did half of that. Good luck and HH, Ian.

  • More nice finds....damn counterfeiters, even back then lol HH

  • @MrSkooty1968 Yes, would have been nice to find the real thing but time enough, HH, Ian.

  • @Janhyooz I've got a couple....and found a really nice 1820 half crown today,a nice chunk of silver stuff :o)

  • @MrSkooty1968 Great stuff, mate, I only have a couple of Geo III sixpences and those over the last couple of months. As for the half crown, congratulations, that is a really nice chunk of silver as you say, well done, good luck and HH, Ian.

  • Counterfeit George III coins ? How strange ! Nice ring there too ..Great video once again.

  • @mercuryrob1 Thanks Rob, glad you enjoyed it. Apparently it was a popular pastime back then due to shortage of silver and coinage, punishable by hanging though, so htey were taking some risk for a few shillings. HH, mate, Ian.

  • @Janhyooz lol but few shillings back then was a lot of money!!! ha ha nice vid again mate! GL HH
