@ar2619 Hi Andy, glad you keep coming back. This song is actually the first of a series that were supposed to evolve into an album, way back in the days when I thought I might be a rock star (ha ha). Anyway, thanks for the support and keep on rockin' regards Mike.
@ced1com Ha ha, yes and it seems like it was only yesterday (all those years ago) of course you know i'm available to do a guest spot anytime :-) mike.
Really moving song, provoking strong emotions. Loved the way the second half became seriously dark with the electric. The images represented the emotions exactly, especially the final one, DON'T DO IT!, lol. Must have taken you ages to put together, 5 stars+
@ar2619 Hi Rob, thanks for the comments, don't worry detonator isn't connected.
I wrote this about 15 years ago then forgot about it. Using cubase it took me about three weeks to do the backing track (I have a full time job as well so I don't have a lot of free time for this).
Your a pretty accomplished axe man by the look of it, done any originals? Mike.
Originals!, I wish... It takes me umpteen takes just to get something of a passable standard. I've started doing it to help myself improve, because it sounds so much worse than you think it will watching it back. Found you on Tim's channel, look forward to hearing and seeing more.
@alexandraxxxxxx thanks so much. Love your version of Don't Fear The Reaper, very original take on a classic, has an almost spiritual feel about it that really works with the song. Mike.
To Tim and all his friends, in fact to everyone who has commented here, thank you so much, I appreciate your support and encouragement, you are the music, play on. regards Mike.
Hi Jorg, hope you had a great Christmas and happy new year to you.
Interestingly someone else suggested the same thing about doubling the vocals. I've noticed that there are some strange background noises that must have crept in during the upload, they are definitely not on the original recording on my multitracker, so maybe I'll do this one again and try the overdubs.
I actually wrote this song about 15 years ago but never finished it, until now. I've just started another so that should be finished by 2025. It's about that feeling we all get sometimes when we wish we could go back to the past for whatever reasons, maybe because things seemed better then, but of course we can't, and the people and places that we once knew have either changed or have gone. Nothing lasts forever.
great song! love it:)

Great Mike ! In only 15 years... how promising.
Your guitar work is appealing more and more to me. Your voice I like anyway (I even thought it could be doubled here and there ...??)
Happy NEW year anyway.
