Damn, I thought this was a "GIBSON" ES-I75. In that case - they BOTH suck!!!
I own an Ibanez GB10; used to own a GIBSON ES-175, and just got a used GB200 yesterday. I also have the aforementioned Epiphone Joe Pass Emperor II; a Dean Palomino, and Palomino Solo with the single floating mini-humbucker. From my experience, you just can't get a quality archtop under $3000. However, you can get a decent solidbody shredder for $800 or less (e.g. Ibanez, ESP, Jackson/Charvel, etc, etc).
I have one of these and REALLY like it. Great sounding vintage PAF's, well put together and stays in tune too. Very versatile. The guy in the video is a numbnuts.
So...why doesn't the "doctor" play any of these nice guitars? In each video, just talk.
Suggestions for others: for serious jazz lovers try the Epiphone Regent (with the single floating pickup and frequensator tailpiece). Or the Epi Regent Zephyr, with a single full-sized humbucker. Both have spruce tops, which seems to make a big impact in "jazz tone." I tried a Zephyr and was truly impressed. Another recommendation: Ibanez AK-80 @ USD $499, brown sunburst only.
How does it compare to the gibson?

Home Shopping Network voice! Should be selling jewelry, not guitars!

I LOVE this guitar, but the tail piece looks a little ugly to me :/

Silly voice? The Doctor could make a living as a voice over artist. This is what I wish I sounded like.

I'm pretty sure you can find one, but they are always a bit higher in price for some reason.
