As a nurse I have watched almost every birth video on youtube and I must say I think that yours is one of the most beautiful. Thank you for sharing such an amazing home birth. You have shown to women that childbirth should not be feared but embraced, women were made to deliver babies and you have shown it can be a beautiful and loving time! Thank you!
Oh wow, such a phenomenal womban you are 11 pnds and some change, that is just inspiring! Did you eat alot or have a special craving because I swear you didnt look as if your SUN was going to be THAT big... you carried very well! Your SUN is such a handsome squeezable little guy! Thanks for sharing your wonder! Peace and Love!
this is beautiful, thank you so much for sharing!! I am planning a home waterbirth for our first child here in Ireland early this December. it helps so much to hear from someone who has had a good experience! thank you again!!
What a wonderful testimony at the goodness and faithfulness of our God! I am 30 weeks with my 5th child. We have decided to homebirth in water. This will be our first at home and I am so excited! I am curious about the placenta. I read something about placenta encapsulation and wondered what you did with yours. I have suffered mild post-depression in the past so I am interested in this~ Thank you~ Allison in Georgia
This birth is so inspiring!! I had a hospital birth with my daughter but this time we are having a home birth. I became adoula a little over a yr ago and then was convinced home birth would be for us. I am so excited to give BIRTH. Thanks for your strength and words of encouragement. 8 weeks to go . I am looking unto the Lord for strength and wisdom considering He is the creator of my body and He has made it like so may things MIRACULOUS!!
Amazing video! It has made me broody all over again!
I was told my first daughter was going to be bigger than 9lb 5oz. After a 45 hour labour, doctors decided it had to be an emcs(i felt very bullied into it, something i regret) - she was 4lb 14oz - how wrong could they be.
10 weeks ago, i gave birth to my second daughter - i had to really push for them to let me try for a vbac - and after a 54 hour labour, i managed it. She was 7lb 3oz, which seems huge to me, but is probably tiny to you!
almost had a tear in my eye :) so beautifully captured in photos and words and an inspirational video for anyone who has been told they are expecting a large baby.
This was so inspiring! I have been thinking of giving home birth another try when/if we get pregnant again. I had attempted a home birth with our first son (we have 4 boys) and had to be rushed to the hospital. I ended up having him delivered by forceps. He was 11.8 and 23 1/2 inches long. After seeing that you were able to deliver a big baby at home makes me think I could too! Thanks so much for posting this. He is gorgeous!
wow! Good for you! I had wanted a natural birth with my first child, but needed to be induced and the hospital just kept intervening from there..My second child, now due in Feb, I am planning a water birth with a mid-wife and just SO excited for it! Thank you for sharing your experience, I am so happy for you, and God Bless you!!!!!
These are of some of the things that will make birth easier for you,and less painful: being undrugged, being in warm water, being in an upright position, being in a loving supported and respectful environment. And above all else preparing yourself while you are pregnant.
I would like to know more about what you did with your placenta!! What kind of dehydrator did you use and did you transfer it to capsules or just keep the powder? I'm seriously thinking about doing something with mine this time (4th baby - first three: I don't even remember LOOKING at the placenta... hospital births....) which will be at home.... with the mid-wife you thanked, actually!! KMosny! ;-D
Thanks for your input... your montage was just gorgeous!! SO inspiring and encouraging!
@willowandmeadow thanks for viewing. My first was born at a local hospital and was 8.7, from their, our 2nd daughter was 11.2 22in, born at home. we NEVER thought that that we would have 2 BIG baby stories, but i am grateful for both :) the excuse "my pelvis was just too small" soooo doesnt hold up w/ me anymore when i here about a c section. i didnt even tear! i just say "get off your back and have a good squat!" :) the warm water was a huge help too.
@liteitupwithgrace Thanks for answering. What a big girl you're second was!
My son was big but not huge, 9lb 11oz, 21 1/4in. Everyone was surprised how much smaller my daughter was, especially with her being my 2nd. She was only 8lb 1oz, 20 1/4in. I carried huge with both of them, i had HEAPS of fluid with my daughter, obviously that's why i was so big with her.
We're thinking about having a 3rd, so would be interesting to see what size that one would turn out!
This is just an amazing video. It is so cool that you hung in there that long and didn't give up and go to the hospital like many do. Wow, an 11lb. baby! Great job!
Beautiful video! I am 40 weeks today and having a boy too. I am doing the Bradley Natural childbirth method and your story is inspiring! The docs are saying he will be very big, measured over 10lbs last week so you give me lots of hope!
Bless you and your beautiful family. Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful testimony and what a blessing to share Ben's birth with you! Such a big adorable baby boy, such a precious family! Thank you so much for this modest intimate insight into a long labour and how you managed it. God bless you and your little family!
How lovely! Thank you so much for sharing! I was also in labor for 3 days and my daughter was 11lbs 4oz. :) I am due in the next week(s) and wonder how big this baby will be!
