@ZIDBULA The highlighter? it works as a capo (it will bring the guitar a whole step up in tuning, which is why it sounds so pretty!) kind of necessary if you want to be in the same key as the song, but you can always do a lower version of the song too! (if your voice isn't as high as dallas)

People play it differently on Youtube to make it their own, not because they don't know how to play it like the album version. It's not like this is actually difficult to play; I personally play it differently for that reason. I find it boring otherwise. And Dallas isn't the only guy to improvise his own material at concerts; that's a tried-and-true technique by artists across all genres to make their shows more interesting. And I've looked at other tutorials for this video; this os the only one I've seen so far that was correct. Hell, two of them weren't even in tune. so kudos to the poster.
