  • If the object ball was frozen to the rail will I be able to make it travel two rails to the nine? I kept trying it on my home table and the cue kept dying near the top left pocket (in perspective of the video). Also if the object ball was 4 inches off the rail, it was near impossible to make it travel like the video demonstration. Any advice? Thank you :-)

  • Commented a few months. Quick update just to thank you even more. I've been practicing a lot, using your videos as guides for my practice. Me and my team won our intramural tourney. I started playing just 6 months ago.

With your help (and examining pros), I break well, I am a good shot maker, I have excellent control of outside english, I have good speed control etc.

Inside is what I've been struggling with. This will help me take my game to the next step. Thanks so much!

  • @ProdigyKimXP Thanks for the update. This is what my videos are all about. I want people who love the game to have access to information to make them better players if that is what they desire. Congratulations to you and your team. The great thing about pool is the learning curve never ends, room for improvement never stops. Keep hitting them good.

    All the best,

    Marcus

  • If you wanna make this drill ALOT harder, put the object ball 1 diamond back and next to the rail, and shoot the cue ball all the way to the rail where the next ball is at. The key is to use only extreme left side with the smoothest and softest of follow throughs..

  • i've got a predator 314^2 shaft and its a little crooked but still.. i make one of 10 this long english shots 'cos of the compensation of the stroke line when having some english. don't really have the touch on it yet after playing not so long.

  • there's a better way, try 'low right'

  • @4SweetEscape low right will put the cue ball in the side pocket 9/10 times on this shot.

  • @IntrebuloN yup, also the 3 rail path has a larger position zone

  • @IntrebuloN nope than you arne doing something wrong xP

with low right the cue ball would deflect off of the object ball into the rail where it then would spin down towards the nine ;)

    often enough executed that one

  • @dabker at best it's a difficult shot for a 10% probably of decent shape on the 9 ball. at worst you mishit and scratch side or corner nearest the 9.

the shot demonstrated in the video is by far the easiest and safest way to guarantee good position on the 9 ball, even if you do not strike cleanly.

  • The most important aspect about a cue's deflection is that one needs to know and have a good feel for one's cue. Apart from that, a cue would be easiest to "master" (get used to) if deflection were effectively doubled at twice the speed or twice the amount of side spin, and/or cut in half at half the speed or amount of English - the absolute value must be of lesser importance since there no cues exist that don't deflect (in complete contrast to what some cuemakers claim). Thanks as always!

  • LAWL ! " If you thi-" 'thank you for watching' haha Great vid 5* yet again .. keep these great videos coming =D

    - Humey ~

  • i have that same cue and yea there isnt much deflection and dude no body said they were better than u which im sure they r thats a pretty ignorant thing to say is that noone will ever beat u ive been playing pool for a few years now and have met some really great players and i hate to say it but they wernt undefeated

  • Predator shafts are really expensive b.c they dont have any or very little deflection, some pool players who are really skilled prefer deflection b.c they can create more angles.

  • lol@ this comment .They have plenty deflection. its about 40% less than a regular cue. Also please explain how more deflection creates more "angles", you got me confused. :)

  • Deflection doesn't help to create angles, it just changes the direction in which you aim. The cue ball still needs to follow the same path.

  • i wish i could buy my own table. thanks a lot. keep up the good work.

  • nice stroke...this shot is way harder than you make it look.

  • Thanks for the vids, I'm getting my first table in a month and am reviewing all of your vids! Very helpful!

  • THANK YOU, I am getting better every day. Thanks for all your vids!

  • I remember this video, it was posted before already? Right?

Well, regardless you still got my 5/5 :p
