@gussk8e . Bjj is not part of grappling it is grappling sport same as wrestling judo etc... they are al grappling sports. Grappling techniques can be broadly subdivided into Clinch fighting; Takedowns and Throws; Submission holds and Pinning or Controlling Techniques; and Sweeps, Reversals, Turnovers, and Escapes, doesn't include striking. Do some research b4 saying some thing
@Vladimir144 i was just saying; there is no need for you to get mad and you're wrong once again. how about you go research right now? they call it grappling in a tournament that you use judo, bjj, wrestling, etc without striking of course.
Respond to this video... "Grappling refers to techniques, manoeuvres, and counters applied to an opponent in order to gain a physical advantage, such as improving their relative position or to escaping, submitting or injuring them, through the application of various Grappling techniques" notice how is says VARIOUS. if you search grappling what do you get? you don't get a straight up jiu jitsu match.
yea hes pounding his chest like an ape going crazy and he didnt win the mundials when i win my matches i shake the guys hand when i get up its called sportsmanship
ok fair enough, but thats you. Either way if it wasnt the mundials (which the mats kind of make me believe so) it was a blackbelt match that must of been important enough to record. So ya id say it probably was a big match against another BB. Maybe after the celebration and rejoice he went and shook his hand. To each their own. Definitely dont watch my videos you'd shit bricks!
hes got a few more fights on the decline but i def think he peaked. he never really became a true mixed martial artist, just a Judo player in MMA and hes skills took him far.
i'm not an expert on bjj, but the rear naked choke bj penn had on hughes in this vid didn't seem locked in fully, bj's hand was on top of hughes' head, couldn't hughes have just pulled it down hard and messed up the choke? i mean hughes tapped out on that hand that was on his head lol. perhaps matt was just over it at that point? i dunno lol
for a text book RNC the hand should be behind his head to prevent from pulling the hand down but becuase BJ was squeezing so hard, hughes wouldnt have had time or possibly the strength to pull it down really
true his grip wasnt as locked as it could be but say hughes pulls his right hand down, penn's left hand is still on his bicep, i dont think hughes could dig out both his arms while hes nearing blackout.
Theres the textbook RNC and then theres the nitty gritty improvised one that is available. Personally is someone is hand fighting i use my legs to trap and arm then choke them with the gable grip.
No it's true. Saulo Ribeiro talks about in his seminars that he think many advanced people can't escape well because they get so used to being in the dominant positions
do you really think bump is the only defence and even if you bump the guy who has mounted will change his weight and put his leg under you when you make room for his legs under you.
then the bump thing is totally useless and you lost that option for starters. Unless he lets go with his legs what would be unlikely because he has so good grip. if your oponent makes mistakes then that's a different thing but we assume your oponent is better then you because he got mount already so you failed.
And to MMA drummer the Anaconda isnt to hard, the choke technically is not hard but knowing when to explode and turn you opponent is crucial (unless u got those long nog bro arms) i tend to grab it while standing and explode to the side turning at the same time (usually most opponents wont have any time to try and stop it and once u start the turn theirs no going back so make sure u got ur arms set up)
Maybe a real one, none of the wushu bullshit nowdays.
More-so than a classical monk, is I would love to see the creator of HsingI or Taijiquan fight one of these guys. The depth and even speed/power of Shaolin systems pales in comparison to these IMA.
yea and you know becuase your an expert. Shaolin training is some of da best in da world( i mean their real training not what they show tourist). And anyone has a punchers chance.

i'd love to see a clasically fully trained shaolin monk enter the UFC ring.
except for the fact that they never would as shaolin practises are only to be used for defence, i think it'd be amazing.
