I vote for Green Party in the USA because the laws for which they fight are the most just and fair of any party, NOT because they are anti-war (I support war for just causes), or anti-violence (same thing), or anti-genetically modified organisms (I have nothing in general against GMO: I support biosynthesized meat). And I don't give a SHIT nor RESPECT nature, which forces animals to murder animals. I care about individual sentient beings.
We run a small British retoration workshop and I am trying to generate some interest in a blog. We are all war pensioners who for whatever reason (medically) have been dropped like a hot rock and are struggling to stay on the straight and narrow, with little or no help from the state. Most of us are considered un-employable but not elligable for much help. So this is us keeping what little dignity we have left. All we ask is people to follow our blog. northants-restoration.blogspot.com
@SuperMandelson regardless of your nationality, calling these people communists is very unrealistic as they want AV and even better PR which are known by the better educated among us as MORE DEMOCRATIC.
Tata, India's largest steel producer, closed it's UK plant costing 1600 jobs. They sent the plant to India where there are no carbon emission laws saving 20% on labour costs. They then sold their carbon offsets into the carbon futures market making massive profit at the expense of the 1600 workers. Then a big Co2 producing company buys the same offsets putting the extra cost onto the consumer & in doing so calls themselves carbon neutral at the expense of the same 1600 UK workers. WAKE UP.
The Labor Party freed up the constrictive fixed system the rich had in place for centuries: now on to an elected second chamber with either Labor or the Dems. If the Conservatives were in again I imagine they would re-close bars at 11pm and make smoking compulsory everywhere.
green party have the most redicluous fascist policies of any party. they want to limit your travel and ban offensive music fucking social enginerring eco fascist scumbags.they also want to reduce the population well they're helping to that with their push for biofuels which is starving the third world as it's caused food prices to double. man made gloabal warming is a fucking scam.
@sh4p3shifter Hi Sh4p3shifter. The Greens have long acknowledged that people have the right to travel and have never suggested for a second that people's freedom of travel and movement should be limited. In fact we are the most public transport-friendly party in Westminster and local councils. Population control is tricky: population growth slows naturally as a country becomes more affluent (the UK a perfect case in point), so if we have a commitment to international poverty reduction... well.
I just read read them for the first time and its like another planet from alml that hate - love we hearing about BNP. Im happy I read them, there really is a solution!!!
clearly you're jumping on the criticising party's bandwagon without having the guts to form your own personal opinion by researching each party's policies first.
Nope your just being naive and saying that due to the name. I actually think the name is not at all representative of a party that is as much about socio-economic reform as the environment.
I believe their policies are what so much more people in this country (maybe even the world) agree with than are voting. The thing is it goes against the grain of most other p[olitical parties who are all systematically attacking them with false claims.
People often feel they've "wasted a vote" when they vote for a party other than the main three, or even two really!
When people actually look at the Greens policies as you say, they are often very surprised at how their policies cover everything, not just the environment!
People need to stop being idiots and realise that the reason why the smaller parties aren't going to get into power is because people won't vote for them because they think they aren't going to get into power.
The earth belongs us all equally. We in our increasing numbers and the technology that increases productivity result in the increasing value of land. All of us, the community as a whole, create land value and therefore it belongs to us all. Most of the earth, land and natural resources, are in private hands and that would work OK if we required landowners to pay us the rent for our land to be used for public purposes. Otherwise it is an unearned income in their hands. Own our land, pay us rent.

absolutely fantastic, don't forget to vote on the current issue - whether the Greens should have a leader/co-leaders or stay having Principal Speakers!
"Diversity is natural and beautiful. Everyone around the world has some sort of challenge in their lives - some you notice easily, and others are harder to see."
I think the performer did her own interpretation of the script so the sign language version may be slightly different.
Pas mal. It seems like it's actually more effective because they talk less about policy and more of the message they want voters to believe they represent. Would it work in Canada, Devon? I don't know. I think it would depend a lot on the medium.

To be honest, if the green party ever came into power in Britain, it would be built up on a fascist regime.

@sh4p3shifter you absolute idiot! I will adress your ridiculous statements one by one:
1] they are not fascists, they are definatley centre left.
2]they want to limit unnessaecary air travel to cut carbon emmisions.
3]there is a reason why that music is offencive and they do not want that anyway so the point is invalid.
4] they dont like biofuels! people keep saying that and it is not true!
why are americans SO PROUD of their disgusting way of life?

Hi Rhort
The sign language part was scripted :
"Diversity is natural and beautiful. Everyone around the world has some sort of challenge in their lives - some you notice easily, and others are harder to see."
I think the performer did her own interpretation of the script so the sign language version may be slightly different.
