Islam is a religion founded on the same basis as the Jehovah's Witnesses and the mormons. One has to read the Quran alone which is bereft of chronology, has little or no contextual content and has apalling grammatical errors to such an extent that Islamic scholars have had to dig deep for excuses to justify such anamolies. A case in point is the oft used word "WE" which is supposed to refer to royalty. Why God in all his perfectness would use such words is beyond me.

For example, the english language has only 1005366 words where as arabic has more than 7 million words. this is the best way to spread the message without limitations and when translated the word is spread even further with accuracy.

I have read those verses again to make sure of the interpretation. If taken in context (of which there is none) in which that chapter was written I take that verse as read. There is no correlation to hell.

All the great things you say about Islam are so detached from reality. My opinion of Islam is based on real life experiences (not books or media) and sadly, they were 99% unpleasant. My Muslim neighbours and co-students at University helped me shape my rather negative view of Islam, not them as individuals. I believe that God is much more beyond the way we humans describe Him whereas Allah and other gods seem to reflect only human qualities such as: anger, love, jealousy etc.

this translation is a the best i found for word to word. It appeals to the followers to fight those who fought against them and drove them out. It is not a cry for war like many right wing religious ppl state ( these include ppl like Bin laden and Beck).

Islam is a religion founded on the same basis as the Jehovah's Witnesses and the mormons. One has to read the Quran alone which is bereft of chronology, has little or no contextual content and has apalling grammatical errors to such an extent that Islamic scholars have had to dig deep for excuses to justify such anamolies. A case in point is the oft used word "WE" which is supposed to refer to royalty. Why God in all his perfectness would use such words is beyond me.

@BGfromGB God's words are deep and full of meaning, in order to encompass such depth of speech and express it without limitations, arabic was the best for its time. For example, the english language has only 1005366 words where as arabic has more than 7 million words. this is the best way to spread the message without limitations and when translated the word is spread even further with accuracy.

"we will...do this ..."is referring to God himself in future tense indicating on the day of judgement he shall punish the wrong doers as HE SEES fit. We aren' the conductors of heaven or hell, HE is. and even muslims who kill are subjected to such punishments. No where does it say muslims do this. it says WE who is God refering to himself in fututre tense.

Honor killings have nothing to do with islam. They are practiced all over the world, mostly in rural areas where ancient tribal customs which predate all the major world religions are still practiced. Honor killings are part of these ancient tribal customs, not islam.

All the great things you say about Islam are so detached from reality. My opinion of Islam is based on real life experiences (not books or media) and sadly, they were 99% unpleasant. My Muslim neighbours and co-students at University helped me shape my rather negative view of Islam, not them as individuals. I believe that God is much more beyond the way we humans describe Him whereas Allah and other gods seem to reflect only human qualities such as: anger, love, jealousy etc.

The hadiths are not holy books, the only holy book is the Quran. But the hadiths are examples of the actions & sayings of the Prophet Muhammad(SAW). These are the actions that he used to do, and he has set the best example for each situation for us to follow and not to be misguided. Im sure Ali was not being arrogant to the extremists that he mentioned but he was just explaining the misconception that the media has been showing, to erase any confusion out there.

if you read the holy Quran you would definitely know who is God, Quran will make it easy for you because you want to know him you need that.and he (God) don't need you . what is Quran? it's words of your creator, you don't believe that? well no one on earth will force you to believe and this what Islam teach us.

OH PUHLEEASE !!! There is no more contradictory "Religious" book available than the Koran. Allah says this in this Surah, then in a different Surah...Allah says the exact opposite thing...AND you chose islam because of the prove the book gambit. Then you didn't read the book very well. So much for your "Science" background.

Why has a perfect creator to create imperfect creatures only to 'test' their will to become 'perfect' by following his rules? Sadism? Boredom?
These so-called 'insights' are first tries to understand the world.
If you need 'accurate scientific information', read scientific books. They go far beyond that and are as much written by the creator himself.

Agreed. Complex things do not come from nowhere (02:18), but that is EXACTLY what nearly every religion teaches. I know of no one who has claimed that humans can create a complex organism. I also have never heard someone claim that order spontaneously arose out of chaos. Your comments illustrate that you have made no attempt to understand Darwinism, but maybe you don't want to; after all, a "perfect and infinite" creator is a nifty, tidy way to explain everything without having to use the brain.
