@littlejimmyist I could pretty much cast anything, just would need to make the molds first. You can check out my new video on casting tiny little .999 Guanyin figures: they came out at about 1.6 TO each.
Right now I am in Asia for a bit, so not something I could personally do anytime soon.
Also, the cost for making the molds can be quite high so it may not be economical to make just a single bullet.
Shoot me an e-mail and we can discuss further for sure.
@McTavish1959@McTavish1959 Hi, I do have 5 or 6 bars left from my last pour a few weeks back. I have not listed them on my sight as I usually try to always have a few extras on-hand for special requests such as yours. I am actually travelling for the next couple days, but can let you know how many and what sizes they are (5-6 troy ounce) once returned.
Please feel free to contact me with any inquiries.
when you melt your pure .999 silver do you burn any of it away so if you start with a ounce and melt it down do you come out with less than a ounce i melted a 925 chain and i fell like its alot less weight than i started with when it cooled it had a black burnt coating on it what is this?
@Livelavalive274 We start with pure silver .999 and higher input silver blanks so we really do not do much refining. We blast the temperature up to 2100 degrees plus to burn off any impurities, but it is basically a melt and recast operation.
Hi BuchanBull, you need to pre-heat your graphite molds before puring your bars, don't get them smoking hot or red hot but probably about 300c, play around with the temps but your problem is that the molds are too cool when you pour the silver.
@stihl888 Hi, Thanks a bunch, actually that is the exact problem. The graphite does not retain the heat well at all, when removed from the over it loses hundreds of degrees within seconds. We need to keep it on a flame table to ensure heat is retained.
We moved over to steel moulds which retain the heat much better. I think we will play around a bit with the graphite, but heat retention is the major issue. Another pour on Saturday, so we may try the 10s again.
@AlbanianSilver1 Hi, It very well may, we are still testing on the designs. What ideally will happen is the lettering will be raised a tiny bit, then when buffed it should stand-out nicely, the weight will be stamped in though, as will the serial numbers. We just ordered in a stamp for the silver with the company logo, so this will likely be stamped onto the opposite side of the bars.
We really appreciate the input, as we are just learning, and hoping to help others learn too.

Fantastic video! Not enough videos on the actual pouring of the silver into molds, so we appreciate that. Neat to behold.

Give it a go and let us know how they turn out.

Wouldn't it look better to place any markings on the bar after the molding and processing, instead of having it in the mold.
