  • any fan of smosh would laugh there ass off at this

"its not actual body.. its more of a box man.. "

  • Smosh has a comedy show called "box man". Duh. That's what's so funny.

  • why?

  • its all i can do in 10 min :)

  • What does "rigging" mean? i keep hearing the word but i dont know what it means. Someone help me! D:

  • to give a rig to a mesh (object)

so that you can pose it

  • Is he dead?

  • Other than him dying of unnatural causes^^, its a gud tutorial, but just so that you guys know there is a much simpler tutorial for rigging a character, watch the ,blender 3d rigging TUTORIAL.

  • HELP!!! I dont have a pose mode!

  • what ver of blender u got ? try upgrading

  • I have version 1.7 i think

  • @zulonz in the drop down box you will have, if you're armature is the only thing selected, you will have a pose mode.

  • Thank you sooo Much at first i had no idea how to animate my charectors arm. i did it frame by frame now u showed me how to do this thank YOU dude Awsome tutorial hey can u make a tutorial for a cars or a bike wheel that works and goes round and round..lol!!

  • lol give him a head!! lmao!!

    nice tut btw!

  • rotflmao

  • hehehehehe

(the head is never a bad idea huh?)

  • why 'assign, select'? u need to deselect first to see which vertices were selected

  • the visual quality is very good, the sound quality is painful with the constant changes in volume, but it was still informative.

A newer and simpler technique that i like to do is weight painting. now im stuck with a rig slightly more developed than this one and i can't find a good tutorial on getting the guy to walk around in a scene. i still don't quite understand the stride root..

  • very good!

  • Great job! All this in just 9 minutes! Thank you very much.

  • Yeah it was helpful, but if you could take it slow it would be much more helpful. Do it much slower!! The only reason I will go look for another tutorial right now, is because it goes too fast. >_>

  • this isnt blender is it,if it is its diffrent then my

  • It's an older version of Blender. And you CAN change the interface almost completely.

  • buy a better microphone

  • Great tut

    *5 stars*

  • best tutorial i've seen

  • This was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you decide to get hardcore about rigging, get The ManCandy FAQ tutorial DVD. It covers rigging for complex facial expressions, b-bones, walk cycles etc. But you should get at least to the intermediate level first or it could be overwhelming.

  • yeah thanks

  • That was VERY helpfull.

    Tnx

  • very clearly explained.

    Thanks.

  • Wow! This is exactly the tutorial I have been searching for. Thanks for posting this.

  • That was really good tutorial.

  • Short and sweet. you tha man

  • Once again, awsome job on this tutorial, it's by far the best video for animation because it's not complex and it's easy to understand. Good work once more! another 5 stars :D

  • that was great better than any blender tutorial that I can find easy and short :-D

    THANK YOU!!!!!!

  • Wow, vertex groups sure beat weight painting! Thank you, I appreciate it.

  • Really Good

  • Thank you so much! This tutorial has helped me more than any other I could find!

  • Wow that was quick and good. Very fast, but very much to the point. Good work :D

  • I don't think you have to click "select" after you assign vertices to a group. Otherwise, it's a 5-star tutorial! :)

  • cool tutorial

  • Thankyou very much

  • thanks, this helped me out a bit- heck, a ton! thanks
