Agreed, I can definitely see why they tweaked it for the actual series release. The show only improved as it went, and, in my opinion, the 2nd Season started the greatness.

@popaname This was the Pilot Episode, and isn't really considered to be an episode. It was testing out the idea, as you can see by the fact that voices, clothing, and the name of Lyoko has changed. The first episode is Teddizilla, I believe, and that's where it truly kicks off.

It was originally going to be more like this, and the first season was going to be 26 episodes. The creators liked the original ideas, but they revamped the show into Code: Lyoko two years later.

I could totally see this style (meaning the animation of the cartoon) as a movie if code lyoko ever makes one. I thought the voices were cute, yet not what I prefer after re-watching the whole CL series. This pilot was probably trying to remain with voices similar to the original French version, because Odd in French Code Lyoko sounds like a girl. lol. This version of Code Lyoko IS TOTALLY BETTER. More good design on the characters and the style looks better. I highly like this version better than the MoonScoop Version of CL. Because this version has more of a live look to it.

maybe I could shed some light- Moonscoop did this as a mere test of Garage Kids. It really wasn't meant to be viewed in public, which is why they didn't get actual English voice actors, and they weren't entirely sure if the show would work for the public, thats why the the computer animation was so bad. They didn't have a lot of money for the production, so they used very low-tech video game-style CGI. They got more funding for the show when Code Lyoko came out in 2004
