Well I don't know about the other two, but I know that the middle one is actually right handed...he just learned how to play that way. He figured his right hand was stronger so he would use its strength for hitting the big end. :)
The beats like ta, te are played on the small end of the Mridanga. And all three of them are playing it correctly on the small end. This also means they are all (co-incidently) left handed. The smaller end of mridanga is played by the hand that is more strongly and precisely used. In this case since all three of them are left handed, hence smaller end is on the left hand side.
It seems they are playing their mrdngas backwards, though, with the small head on the left instead of the right. Why do they do it that way? Are they left-handed?
