• yes the worst movie made by a pedophile jorgen leth and an alcoholic singer wyclef jean

  • welcome to Haiti, sadly,it's the real life...fuck gouvernement...

  • THESE FOOTAGES ARE PROVE THE WHO ARISTIDE REALLY IS. HOW THE HELL SOMEONE IS GOING TO DO THAT TO HIS OWN PEOPLE. THEY SHOULD USED THESE FOOTAGE TO PUT HIM IN JAIL. HE IS A MODERNIZE D MAFIA.

  • UN soldiers killed most of those bad boys from Cite Soleil.

  • Muitos desses vagabundos foram para o inferno!!!!

DIA 06/07/2005 PASSAMOS O CEROL NESTE LUGAR!!!!

  • aristide killed thousands of my people. he should suffer the same faith as saddam. im glad that there is true haitian patriots like Chamblain and guy phillip who were able to get rid of him. to bad the foreign leaders help him escape before he met his true faith.but his lavalas caca idiots are still being against haiti to make money and sell drugs to the haitian children and keep my people in there aristide made hell

  • where can i get get this movie some1 tell me plz

  • @mcymusik It's on youtube you can watch the whole movie free

  • If you like doco's this is a must see film. Not easily forgettable.

  • this shity work. aristide had poor people who supported him.

but he had a crippled police and basically no means to keep his country safe. this danish propaganda financed by FATHER LETH A KNOWN CHILD ABUSER.

now WITH PAUL FARMER AS THE NEW DEPUTY UN ENVOY WE WILL SEE ARISTIDE BACK.

    DON'T WORRY APAID AND COMPANY

  • I cannot believe that Wyclef jean is dealing with these ppl. This movie was made to destroy Ayiti.

  • @makandale330 It's haiti....if u do'nt know the boss of gang... u can't enter in cité soleil. Wyclef is one the rare person who can enter in cité soleil without problem, cause he's singer represent those poors peoples...he need accept everyone in cité soleil, cause everyone like him...badboys as goodboys...

  • the worst movie ever made. pure propaganda

  • Sure Gwozo, the great anti-Haitian conspiracy: the pulitzer video, this movie, every major news network of the world, hundreds of youtube videos yeah, yeah, ...in Spanish there's a saying that goes "you can't block the sun with one thumb" but it's sure fun to try, uh gwozo? The biggest disgrace of Haiti is not its poor, but diaspora-babbling dickheads like yourself blaming everyone else for Haiti's mess. Shut the fuck up, roll up your sleeves and actually DO something real to help your bethren.

  • why u think this is propaganda?

  • no way .... they both die...

  • @GWOZ0Z0

    why?

  • @clabinplus @clabinplus This movie shouldn't be called a documentary. That's my problem with it. Many of the supposed facts are lies and also detrimental to stabillity in the country. This is something I expect from CNN and the other U.S news outlets but not something Wyclef would participate in. But let's deal with out current problems. this is the least of our issues.

  • bab film you have to stop with it.

  • heavy metal man! heavy metal! shits goin down in haiti !

  • Hey, cool movie man! saw it on virgin media on filmflex... Also, if anyone has filmflex, what's that song that plays when they show a lil preview ? In the song they sing "livin in the ghetto, eatin in the ghetto, sleepin in the ghetto" ....... sounds so sick, lemme know if u know what it is.

you couldnt go there dat time

  • in da documentary the white lady died bily died, aristide couldve died too. in 2005 when da united nations came to haiti to help alot of haitions got killed. Alot of dem were protesting saying they wanted aristide back.

    theres a new president.

  • yes

  • most of da haitans in dis video died. i was actually watchin dis tape on last saturday.

aristed basically almost got alot of parts of haiti destroyed. sending out armies to kill inisant people by mistake he was a bad president

  • Danske film er bare fot vilde!

  • its danish

  • wow that movie is lookin real good

  • I left that lifestyle behind in America so i can relax and become a role model in Haiti Cite Soleil is the slum of slums you don't live 2 long so they get millions and millions off of coke and other shjit but they don't live to lond to enjoy that shit I get by but i don't make it my lifestory.

  • hey yo i dotn think that you make any progrees and that poor country just with violence and drugs you make progress when you think with your head,, you want to progress wotk hard like the Americans did na dbuild there nation with freedom and a huge economy , work hard like the European did and many other countries.

  • same goal (though skewed), different attitude based on the attitude towards them, based on their past, subjected to them by the other due to a whole heap of reasons that my 500 letter count wont allow me to go into. Study the situation. Its like the African saying which, in short says; "the sun and the moon are no where near each other", no matter how close together they might seem. Study the situation.

  • lol I almost moved to DOminican republic £370,000 for a 4 bed with private Beach.. fine by my family! until I decided to look into its , only 3 miles by water to haiti fuck that! bt man, its a really interesting place I urge you to read up on it all.

  • I totally agree, white people can't be blamed for everything. What I don't like seeing is black people being exploited. This movie is straight up exploitation. If anyone thinks for one second this movie is actually going to help the people of Cite Soleil, forget it, not going to happen. The only thing it will do is further the careers of those who were behind the camera.

  • bisifan, look after Haitian slaves revolted against their oppresor(France)and killed 18000 soldiers, france abandoned Haiti, and fined the country for bilions of dollars in todays standard, for the reason that france lost many money not OWNING Haiti anymoore, a fine that held Haiti in debt for 150 years, so whites can be blamed for this too!

  • haiti was made to be what it is on top of what you said america put an embargo on haiti so they couldn't trade goods(in other words no income coming in) how the hell is it not suppose to be the poorest country on the west side...the tourist industry doesn't exist because of the violence(thats how most islands make money)

  • haiti is a perfect example of how oppresive europeans are..... u.s blacks have been through nothing compared to afro caribbeans and afro latinos, true story.

  • This looks like a good film. I will see it. anyone know when its out

  • bisifan shutup you racist fuck

  • anyone fancy 2 weeks in Haiti..it looks really nice

  • made by DENMARK NORDISK FILM NORDIC MOVIES

  • This is crap. Only white people and stupid black people are going to like this movie. Typical shit. Black people acting in cages while white people take pictures, then go home and tell their friends about their "dangerous" trip to the jungle. All the black protagonist in this film are dead, yes, dead. Where is the white director? Living it up smiling at the premier of the film being made offers to direct a feature.

  • you cant blaim everything on white people, Im not white and im intelligent enough to realise this. As long as black people continue to do this, the black race will never progress like it should, because they can always blaim the "big bad white man in the sky". People in India, china, and many other places realised this, its time black people did too, then disasters like hati will cease to happen!

  • Well lets face it you bring people over to a country like animals...make it illegal to read, to learn, to progress in an already foriegn culture...expect them to act like animals, and a group of people who cannot progress....

  • c'est la verite ca....and a very good point.

  • if you look at it from an anthropological point of view and a humanistic point of view..it's not about liking the fucking movie...its about knowing what's going on in the damn world. Is it not like this most everywhere...don't label it just a black-white thing.

  • I agree 100%. My comment was directed more towards the racist whites who seemed to find their wayt o every video depicting negative situations with Blacks. You bring people over and treat them like Chattel for 500 years, don't expect them to come out and act civilised towards eachother when they were stripped of any cultural connection to their roots and not they are living in hell

  • Very very very true. Sorry for lashing out.

  • and now that i read i was talking to someone else lol. I agree with

  • i agree, but culturally, Haitian blacks retain some 90% of their African culture. Even Kompa, etc sounds exactly, uncannily, like West African music..all that separates is language(which is inflused with african words and cadences, etc) and last names. The same beliefs, values and attitudes, and the same pain and misery.

  • This movie is total bullshit with CNN and corporate media narrative all throughout it. The director did not film these, he bought the film of a bosnian drug addict. Aristide was an elected president and did lots of good for the country. This movie prevents just one little area of what happened in that time.

  • I was at the world premier at the Toronto film festival and was blown away.

  • Dis looks like a must see!!!

  • yh it does look like city of god...

  • what da fuck u mean under french rule...man u must b an asshole...come to jerzee so i could show u way we took over our own country!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sometimes, I wonder if Haitians never wished for the slave rebellion 200 years ago and kept the country under French rule.

Maybe their lives would have been better?

  • spaceharrier, as a Haitian person, I would rather die fighting than live as a slave. For you to make a comment like that suggest you don't know anything about the history of Haiti and global policies. Continue ...........

  • All I can say is that, slavery still exist. It's no coincidence all the white countries are doing well and all the black counties are struggling. Slavery has now been transform and is being acted out in the form of imperialism. Continue........

  • In conclusion, slavery was "abolished" by Abraham Lincoln, but US blacks still had to march, be beaten, and kill to attain their civil rights. Which is why I laugh when a white person tell me slavery was over a long time ago.

  • spaceharrier, let me educate you on what Haiti has done:

most people don't even know that largest fortress in the Western Hemisphere is in Haiti. The name of it is the Citadel.

One of the world best rum companies is in Haiti (Rhum Barbancourt). The family business originated in the 1860s, with the product being made from pure sugar cane juice.

Most people don't even know, but New Orleans culture came from Haiti.

    Continue..........

  • Haiti is the first independent black country in the Americas (after the United States) to declare its independence, on January 1, 1804.

Haiti took care of the Dominican Republic for 40 years. The Dominican Republic declared independence from Haiti in 1844.

Haiti was the first country in the Caribbean to play in World Cup Soccer, which happened in 1974.

  • The only problem with Haiti is that the US has bought our "so call" leaders.

Depi you we blanc ke yo kotan!

  • Relax, I said I was wondering.

    Chill out, man.

  • The rich HAITIAN elite are to blame for your country's poverty too, not just the evil white Frenchman.

Is it the French who steal the foreign aid destined to construct roads, provide electricity, schools, hospitals and clean water.

Nope. That goes straight into rich Haitian pockets.

If India, Red China, Vietnam can lift themselves out of third-world poverty, why not your country?

    Blame the French again?

  • I agree with you 100%, the rich HAITIAN elite are also responsible.

  • But, Haiti had an embargo imposed on it for several years by the US. Why does a country like the US imposing an embargo on a poor country like Haiti? (The embargo only hurts the Haitian poor, not the elite). U.S. Asylum System (Cuban/Haitian) why are they different? I can go on and on...

  • the french send "sly fees" desguised in AID. Its both ways, we all know what really goes down. And you should not compare Asia to Black Countries...thats like comparing Japan to West African states. Revise the histories thouroughly, what youve just said is foolish and bootless.

  • er......of course they would be lol, you seen how well the French Govern in the Caribbean. But then again you gonna be called racist for saying that hehe

  • Exactly.

  • Martinique and Guadeloupe are prime examples. But you'll see how that ends up aswell. Europe only released the trouble making colonies and those it couldnt afford to keep. Haiti was crippled by 100 years of debt from 1815-1915, Haiti, after the revolution was rich and could negociate trade, so dont go there. Just like in Africa, the original palm oil and gold exporters, etc..were black, but they were killed, exiled or extorted, read up on some history.

  • I saw this film this past weekend and was VERY disappointed. The whole thing was like a long music video (or "Making of") for Haitian 2pac. The film didn't focus on the conditions of Cite Soleil, the chimeres themselves, the politics was only the backdrop...and the action scenes in the trailer above are the only action scenes in the film. It looks like the director fell for 2Pac just like the white "relief worker", and promised him he'd make a film about him.

  • This is a really corporate flashy movie. The director did not even film this. He purchased the film off someone brave and then editted it all down and put CNN narrative over it. This movie overlooks all the violence by pro-coup people. Wyclef's uncle is the coup ambassador to the US. Raymon Joseph (his uncle)says So An sacrifices babies. What an idiot.

  • i personally believe this movie will have an impact on the youth....of haitians...lil kids who have yet to understand all the controversies occuring in haiti...im really looking forward to watch the movie..and try to understand it carefully..but my question is...is this movie...coming out..world -wide..or is it only coming out..on dvd

  • impressive footage bit to get a more honnest picture I would encourgae people to watch the film aristide and the endless revolution and much more balanced picture.

  • where can either films be purchased or obtained?

  • I got the movie uploaded here in youtube...

  • where the movie at??

  • Got taken down. copyright shit.

  • i got it

  • up loaded so i can watch it. i been looking for it but can't find it.

  • Looks just like the film called 'city of god', but then again that is one of my favourite films

  • You are right Ayiticheri77 what we see here is a front. The true players who are in control of the country are not shown in this movie. Those "outlaws" in cite soleil have no real power except that they may create some fear because they cary a gun but the whole point is that it is just a distraction on the system so the world can never know who are the true players behind the state of Haiti.

  • sadly this film only serves to add fuel to the classist and racist demonization campaign against the haitian people waged by imperialists and the creolized haitian business elites (the actual gangsters in the real drama gripping haiti!)..

  • what we know for a fact, that since aristide was overthrown 10,000 Haitians have been killed by the UN/paramilitaries and 40,000 women raped in Port-au-Prince alone (according to a recently published study in the Lancet).. who knows how many more have died in Cap Haitien, Gonaives, etc.

  • 'm sure it'll play well to racist audiences in the western 'democracies' happy to crush anyones aspirations for self-determination. but to the global majority, the lies and propaganda will be familiar. much better movies include "aristide and the endless revolution" and (although older) "bitter cane".

  • Thanks for the recommendations. I want to try to see at least "Aristide and the Endless Revolution". (The trailer can be found on google or youtube.)

  • this is probably one of the most offensive and racist movies i've seen in a long time. it's very sad that the film-makers have gotten such accolades for such an opportunistic and sensationalist piece of crass propaganda. instead of actually addressing why young men are forced to take up arms to defend their neighborhoods under a brutal paramilitary/UN assault, the movie looks to degrade and demonize the haitian poor.

  • A Haitian could be dirt poor, and not even have a pot to piuss in...but he or she will definitely have an opinion, huh? I never thought, though, that I'd hear the characterization that these are "young men...forced to take up arms to defend their neighborhoods under a brutal paramilitary/UN assault." That's a new one.

  • "...a brutal paramilitary/UN assault."
The UN is nothing more than a criminal organization and there has been several massacres on civilians. Blind faith in the UN is foolish

  • Same as coryhubbell said. I'll rent it when it comes out from Netflix.

  • looks very powerful and moving
