Not really. Emo is too repetetive and overdone. It's recycled songs done over and over again. These bands may look the same but their songs all have something different to them. By the way, I have a logical reason behind why I do not like emo. I suppose you probably don't like emo is because your friends don't and you want to fit in, or you just want to be masculine.

alice nine became hard all of the sudden, they never screamed b4, i liked them because they were doing what they thought it was the best for their band by being themselves, but i guess they got too much influences from other bands and were under peer pressure

Not necessarily. Their harder stuff seems to phase in and out. Yami ni Chiru Sakura is some early work, and hard songs like Velvet, Dead School Screaming, and Kuuron became more prominent on their first album. After '06, it sort of died down to a few songs here and there.

Earlier on, the band had a sort of identity crisis. Shou admits that they tried too hard to stand out so they wouldn't fade away into obscurity. If anything, the band's more comfortable with themselves than ever before.
